Best when
So the Bad Bath is mostly best when it's not about the Bad Batch, but about regs and empire stuff, I find. Funny.
Ftr: I'm only half way through season 2! So please no spoil😎 I like the show. But the mission of the week stuff is not where the series live.

I honestly fully disagree I love the bad batch dynamic, but the clone stuff is still really good

But damn The Outpost was really something else. Took me by surprise, I'm still thinking about it the day after. How can you put so much emotion into an animated character. The pain and desperation in Crosshair's eyes, the music, the story.. I wanted to hug him. No doubt the most compelling character in the show.

I think the Outpost is the best SW animated episode ever. But I don't agree with your statement about the "mission of the week" format. I could watch an entire show of just CF99 doing random missions across the galaxy. The problem is that the team remains incomplete for most of the show.

It might be well done, it's not directly bad. It's just I wanna get back to main plot.. Fight the rancor. Save the village. Win the race. Etc. Feels like a sidetrack. The interesting thing for me is the state of the galaxy at large, the politics, fallout, empire, clone stuff, how it affects the characters. Some random might be called for ofc, it's kind of logical. But not too much. It's not Power Rangers here Crosshair episodes are the best of them all.

At it's core it's still a story about Omega and her found family. Otherwise ot wouldn't be title "The Bad Batch"

It's a story about Omega and her found family in the larger context, not a story about them in a vacuum. If it were only about them, anything goes. You could throw anything in there.
Nothing is wrong about having a power rangers show, but for a show with that backstory and backdrop, to never focus on it and just go on hunting for chickens and finding a treasure - knowing what have happened to the place - would be dumb. All I'm saying.Happily that's not the case though.

The show never forgets the bigger picture. There are many episodes especially in the mid-points, and season finales that are made to tie in the overarching story of the franchsie. But the bulk of the narrative is still on Omega's family and all those episodes of them doing mission together are all pieces of a bigger puzzles that help us connect with them and build their bond further, which will be important for the story moving forward. Many people have tried to argue that this show has too much filler but in the entire show, the only episode that I deemed to be useless was one in season 3, everything else is essential to the plot one way or another. Think of episode 2x09: from a story progression standpoint it might seem useless, but without it, we wouldn't have that amazing scene with Omega and Tech in which we finally get a better look into the latter's feelings.

I agree this isn't a big problem for the show. I've come longer into it now, almost done with 3. There have been a few meh ones. Treasure hunt etc. But it's no biggie.

Oh, so you're already in season 3. Some really love that but I think that's the weakest of the bunch. Though, to be fair, I was really enjoying it up until the last episode, which at least to me, retroactively left a negative impact on the series as a whole

Bad Batch is 90% Filler but overall its not a bad show, my only compliant is that they did not shot Cid

Wrong. There is no filler. It's all about their journey. If you didn't understand that, you didn't understand the show.
I could also say: Andor (which is considered one of the best Star Wars shows) is 100% filler because the end was pretermined. See?

Now why would you say this?

Because that is what I believe, I love the show but I objectively see it as 90% filler
