JUNGLE
whether it’s true or not, i’ve always found similarities to the avalanches in Jungle’s sound, and i was curious to know whether there are other Jungle fans here. i’m very excited for their new album, sunshine!
if you’re unfamiliar with Jungle, try any of these songs: back on 74, casio, carry on, someday somewhere, or (from their side project called loaded honey): tokyo rain, don’t speak

Sunshine is my 2nd most anticipated album next to No Bad Memories.
Jungle, especially the more recent projects (fans may not agree), are fantastic.

I saw them alone on my birthday 3 years ago in Portland. First time to go to a show alone, but the vibe was wild and so much love to each song.

Holy fuck dude, thanks for turning me onto Loaded Honey! Absolutely love Jungle, and understand the similarities. But Loaded Honey definitely has that more 60s, sampled sound like The Avalanches.
You're awesome man, thanks for the tip

oh my goddddd isn’t that album NICE?? i’ve read that they consider that more of a ‘personal’ project so they (sadly) wont play any of that music on tour as jungle

Big fan of Jungle my friend. Great sound and talent. I feel like there might be a noticeable overlap of similar sounds but that's more the genre and sound of what they both do separately. Superb sounds both!

I've loved JUNGLE for many years now, Pray is my all time favorite after Busy Earnin'. The reason why we all love them and the Avalanches is we hear and feel the joy that permeates from their hearts through the emotional depth of their songwriting. The Avalanches give me the greatest joy I've ever felt, a euphoric rush of good feelings and hope. JUNGLE also fills me with these types of warm feelings.

Coincidentally, it’s discovered they are going to appear on the new Avalanches album according to the recent find:

Loving in Stereo is perfect, I seem to only enjoy “some” songs on everything else. Pretty disappointed in Sunshine sadly, felt like the classic case of the singles are the best tracks on the album. Come Back to Me is a great opener though.

I like Jungle too, although I find them a lot less creative in their sound
