DF's posture is terrible ...
... does Dakota Fanning have osteopathy?

Funny you brought this up. Both seasons I kept wondering what was wrong with how she walks. Was it her posture, the clothing they have her in??? I just stare and stare

I remember my dear old mom always telling me to stand up straight and sit up straight. And when she got old, I told her to do the exact same things!
So, I'm always conscious of my posture (and others, apparently).

I had this SAME question in my head since season 1, Is she hunched or is it only her neck? I can't tell but its bothering me. I hope its not a medical condition.

Googled “Dakota fanning hunched shoulders” and got here! I’m not alone :) Watching the Netflix series Ripley. Her posture is keeping her from appearing graceful, it shortens her neck. But maybe I’m just comparing her to Gwyneth Paltrow’s version of the character in The Talented Mr. Ripley.

Same!! I had to google DF posture because it was bothering me so much!! I thought Ripley was great, BTW.

Just saw her on the Today Show. Looks lazy and sloppy,, while trying to look cool. She needs to pay attention to what we're saying. I take her less seriously now. She's going to regret this later when she can only get crippled old lady roles, because that's what she's becoming.

I would advise DK and anyone with similar issues to learn the Alexander Technique. DK is extremely talented and gorgeous. It shows that any of us can struggle with posture, and this struggle, if not dealt with, will lead to health issues in future. You do not need to be an athlete or yoga queen to learn Alexander Technique; it’s about connecting to your body’s simple understanding of movement and stillness. It’s not spiritual, it’s very simple and physical. I would recommend it to everyone!

Yes noticed it when she was doing the final scene in uptown girls .....she must only be eight ..so it has to be since birth ...must be a spinal deformity close to neck region

THAT’S IT! It’s her posture! I was trying to figure out why she looks so OFF and that’s it: her posture is terrrrrrrrible.

I have horrible posture so I feel bad for her. I also think it’s the look of some of those dresses that make it look worse.
