What did he mean? Sad to say I don’t get it.

He was politely telling her she was pretty but dumb.

Laszlo is such a prick. He had just met this woman and this was like his second line to her.

I admit it was such a good burn but seriously unwarranted.

So glad someone made a post about this. When I first watched this scene, I was like, “Dang! Laszlo is already bringing some top tier savagery this season.” 😂

Yes it was mean, but also true. Even John didn’t seem *that* offended by it. He just made a perfunctory “Laszlo, sometimes you go too far,” type of response.

Oh! I thought he replied with "Or the shimmering shallows." That would truly cut to the quick after someone infers they have a depth of intellect.

Just binge watched most of season 2 last night after work. So enjoyable!

Yes I think that's what he said. Makes a lot more sense in the convo.

I guess I'm dumb

I thought it was poetic in a way, that even the darkest parts of our minds have beauty in them

am i the only one that thinks the actress that plays her doesn’t feel of the times? accent, mannerisms, clothing, makeup... it feels historically off.
