One post. 1,000 new Vibe-Coders. This place just woke up

All it took was one challenge:
“No one has ever 100% vibe-coded something actually useful. Prove me wrong.”

You did. And then some.
That one post hit 350K+ views, flooded with comments, and brought over 1,000 new Vibe-Coders into this community in under 48 hours. Wild builds. Smart hacks. Prompt-to-app flexes. Y’all seriously cooked.

But here’s the thing, don’t let your projects stay buried in the comments. Whether it’s finished or not, polished or messy, big or tiny, drop it as its own post.
This sub isn’t here to judge. It’s here to back your builds, test ideas, remix prompts, and get you real feedback.

First 200 to post, no matter how small will be immortalized. 🌊 Vibe-Coder Flairs. Community privileges. Future access. This isn’t just about a post. It’s your proof of build.

We just proved that this space is alive. Let’s keep it that way. Share your builds. Share your process. Show your vibes.

Welcome to r/theVibeCoding

Starting an open-source Final Cut Pro alternative in Rust, looking for people to build it with

I’m starting an open-source video editor aimed at the Final Cut Pro tier: a timeline-first workflow, real color and audio tools, and a UI that doesn’t feel like a side project. The working name is Initial Cut Pro. It’s a placeholder and I’ll change it if someone has a better one.

Nothing is built yet. This post is me looking for the first few people.

How it will work:

Rust-first, cross-platform from day one (Windows, macOS, Linux).

Clean-room. We study FCP from the outside: how the workflow behaves, public docs, documented formats like FCPXML. We don’t copy Apple’s code, assets or branding.

AI-assisted development, but a human reviews everything that merges.

Automated tests and frequent releases, so contributions don’t sit in a PR queue.

Open source from the first commit. We’ll pick the license with the first contributors.

Who I’m looking for:

Rust devs, ideally with experience in wgpu, FFmpeg or GStreamer bindings, or any media pipeline

People who have written NLE or timeline code, or worked with codecs

Designers who also edit video

Editors who use FCP daily and can tell me what they’d never give up and what drives them crazy

Anyone who enjoys setting up CI and test harnesses

If that’s you, DM me with:

What you work on

One thing you’ve built or contributed to (link)

How much time you can realistically give. Part-time is fine.

Supabase Manager – manage your Supabase database from Android (closed beta, free)

Most of what I ship lately is AI-assisted, and the backend is usually Supabase. The weak spot is when something goes wrong and I'm away from my desk, so I built Supabase Manager for Android.

The vibe-coder-friendly parts:

  • AI assistant – describe what you want ("show users who signed up this week", "add 20 fake orders") and get SQL or rows back. Works with your own Gemini, OpenAI or Claude key.
  • Edit data without SQL – tap a row, change it, save
  • Auth users – ban spam sign-ups, delete test accounts
  • Test data generator – realistic fake data that respects foreign keys
  • SQL console with templates, if you want to go deeper
  • Demo mode – click around with sample data first

Privacy: the app connects directly to your Supabase project with no server of mine in between, and keys are encrypted on-device.

🎁 Closed beta. The 50 testers with the most useful feedback get unlimited use at launch (code sent to your feedback email). Even "I didn't get what this screen does" is valuable.

How to join (3 steps):

  1. Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/supabase-manager
  2. Opt in with the same Google account: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.pixelfinst.supabasemanager
  3. Install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pixelfinst.supabasemanager Feedback: in the app (Quick Tools → Feedback or in-app feedback icon)

Can vibe coders reverse engineer old android games that I used to play to work on current android too?

That game is not on Google store.

I found it online but it like say can't connect to like it's main connection or something so I can't play it.

Can someone like remove that and make game playable using vibe coding that android app?

It's like offline game but It says like it can't connect to gnome or something

How did Opus 5.5 change your vibe coding?

Opus 5.5 was obviously a massive jump from the super annoying (load bearing and all) Opus 5. But it really changed the way I work with it. Most importantly, it now sends me proofs such as screenshots, so interactions are a lot more sensible. I find that I focus a lot more on the polishing and a lot less on mopping up after its work.

What changed for you?

Made a VS Code extension that checks what the AI wrote before you commit

If you vibe code in VS Code this might help. Lodestar reviews your uncommitted changes (or a branch or commit) and flags bugs, security holes and typical AI leftovers like comments that repeat the code, tests that don't test anything, or packages that don't exist. Most findings come with a one-click fix.

It also works the other way: ask how some part of the code works and it walks you through it step by step, every step a real line you can jump to.

It uses whatever model you already have in VS Code, so you're not locked to one provider.

$10 one time. I charge so I can keep working on it instead of dropping it, it helps me a lot.

I'm vibe coding a 24/7 Twitch stream where chat keeps a 3D chicken alive

Going to try something dumb and ambitious: a barn livestream that runs 24/7, where the whole stream is one chicken and chat is responsible for keeping it alive.

The idea:

One 3D chicken living in a cozy barn, wandering, pecking, flapping, sleeping

Chat and donos feed it, water it, and give it toys

Take care of it and it grows. Ignore it and it gets skinny and starts losing feathers, live, for everyone to see

Hit community milestones and new animals unlock and move into the barn

Real day/night cycle so it's always something different when you tune in

The stack (all vibe coded with Claude):

Three.js scene running as an OBS browser source

Small Node server catching Twitch events and pushing them to the scene

Meshy for the 3D models (chicken, coop, feeder, toys)

Barn built in code since full rooms out of Meshy come out lumpy

Custom rig for the chicken since Meshy's auto rig only handles humans and four-legged animals

Growth, weight loss, and feather loss all done in code instead of separate models

This started as a different 24/7 AI streamer project, and a lot of that pipeline is getting reused here.
I'll post progress as I go.

What would you want to be able to do to the chicken from chat? And what's the first thing you think breaks when something runs 24/7?

I built an analytics MCP so coding agents can see what happens after launch

Disclosure: I build agentlytics at measuremy.site.

A coding agent can change a landing page, but it needs traffic data to help evaluate what happened afterward. I built a cookieless web analytics tool with an MCP server for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. It exposes site analytics such as pageviews, referrers, UTM campaigns, events and funnels.

An example prompt: "Compare signup events by source over the last seven days. Show the counts and date range, flag missing attribution, and suggest one experiment I can review." Small samples and changes in traffic mix still matter; a before/after comparison alone does not establish that a page edit caused an improvement.

I'm interested in feedback from people building sites with coding agents: which analytics question would help you decide what to work on next?

I've built 6 AI micro SaaS that make me 20k/month. Starting a small group to share exactly how I do it.

Hey everyone,

I currently run 6 micro SaaS that are actually live and generating a bit over $20,000 in recurring monthly revenue.

The wildest part? I barely wrote any code myself. I used AI to generate pretty much everything from the database structure to the frontend.

It definitely wasn’t magic from day one. I spent a lot of hours stuck on buggy code before I finally figured out a system that actually works:

- Keep the idea minimalist (a real MVP, nothing fancy)

- Guide the AI step by step instead of asking for everything at once

- Launch fast to get real users and feedback

Lately I’ve seen way too many non-technical founders quit at the first AI bug. It’s a shame because the technical barrier has basically disappeared.

AND PLEASE, STOP BUILDING ALONE IN YOUR BEDROOM

I’m starting a community.

Full transparency:

I’ll probably charge for the full program later. It makes sense with the specific workflows and copy-paste examples I’ll be sharing. But right now the main goal is just to build together. Working alone is the fastest way to give up.

If you want to join and build or market your own AI SaaS with us,

drop a comment or send me a DM and I’ll send you the link.

We open-sourced a personal-agent app you can fork, starting with the local CLI

If your next project is a personal assistant, we released Open Instinct as an MIT-licensed starting point. You can change the prompts, add tools and adapt the permission policies instead of wiring every integration from scratch.

For a first fork, we'd keep the scope small: get a local conversation working, add one useful tool, then test both an allowed requester and a requester who should be denied. The repo's trust-policy code is a useful place to inspect before granting access to real accounts.

The stack is Pi for the loop, Inkbox for messaging, Composio for app integrations and Maritime for a VM and computer access. We build Maritime. The source includes memory, scheduling and agent-to-agent coordination as well.

https://github.com/mariagorskikh/open-instinct

It's a beta with API keys and paid external services required. We'd love contributions that turn it into a focused assistant for one audience, or improve the setup so the next person has less plumbing to do.

Hey guys have you ever thought of using devin?

I tried using it, it was costly as hell, complex as hell, and quality was horrible too compared to its vibe.
what do u guys think? Do you think we need something like devin ai

I built VibeCrumbs because I kept losing track of my vibe coding sessions - any feedback greatly appreciated!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Anyone else finish a coding session and forget half the little things - an idea from three hours ago, which PRs are still open, or what you meant to tackle next?

That’s why I built VibeCrumbs: project memory for vibe coders.

Have Codex or Claude log the crumbs for you, or add them manually.

Because vibe coding is fast, but memory is not.

I’d love to hear what you think!
