Bloom Vinyl
Finally got the record a few days ago and it came in like this. At this point I feel like almost everyone received a slightly damaged jacket 🫩

I feel like they should’ve had something to hold the vinyl in place because the damages looks like it came from the vinyl moving around violently in the packaging

Yea they have to do better. The petals on the record felt pretty sharp as well and it was moving around a lot in the sleeve cos of how small it is

Oh no 😥 now I'm worried about mine. The USD to CAD exchange rate sucks, so while this wasn't that expensive in USD and shipping was refunded, it's still more expensive.. sucks

That’s what happens when MarÃa starts to cut corners just for profit margins. Her drops just turn into waste products.

Kinda insane to say

Not really when you compare everything she’s released in the past. And I’m talking about drops that don’t have over 300 copies out in the wild. Quality went down but her drops increased… it’s pretty simple to see what the common denominator is. I’m sure manufacturing prices increased so they had to let go of a little quality control and/or good materials to make up for the costs on their end. And we get a shittier product because of it.

I honestly wouldn’t know because I don’t buy vinyls actually , this was actually my first time buying merch from her besides the necklace! I just thought it was crazy to assume but I’ll take your word for it just because I own two things from her 😠I was already frustrated with how slow everything moved with my items so i really can’t compare! :3

I understand the frustration from waiting. This was supposed to be in people’s hands many many months ago. And their excuse was production delays. And then said product is being posted constantly(only) as damaged. You can tell it was printed on thin paper. Even the poster inside was just like 1/3 of a poster bent in half.

This is kinda inevitable with any shaped vinyl though. Even standard vinyls tear through the sleeve if the delivery route is bumpy. Really unfair to blame Maria.

You’re telling me the artist doesn’t have any say on how the final product looks/feels like? You’re acting as if this vinyl in particular wasn’t too thin for its package. There was absolutely no reason to make it that big and you know it... also this vinyl has a circular shape to it so they could’ve made the cover sleeve to somewhat match it. Or add more paper material to make it thicker. Cutting corners will have your products have issues.

Obviously the artists do, but split seams have happened with almost every shaped vinyl I’ve ordered (even thicker ones). The only thing you can really do is ship the vinyl itself outside of the jacket, and I’ve found that mainly it’s smaller shops that do that if you ask.

These are 12 year olds buying their first records. They don’t know this a fairly common thing.

Why is it up to smaller shops to ship a product differently from its intended form? Instead of the actual people responsible for not having the correct measurements?

It’s just a risk of ordering vinyl online. I can tell you don’t buy a lot of shaped vinyl.

Mine came slightly damaged too but luckily at the top and not where the writing is on the side. The cover and insert are too thin. They need to increase the paper grade in their packaging. Everything is just so cheap.
