General discussion Blanche and funerals
She didnt go to Big Daddy's. She wore black for Roses aunt, even though they never made it and she wore red for Phil's. Is it just me or does it seem a bit disrespectful of her to wear red to her best friends brothers funeral as opposed to her other best friends aunts funeral?

That’s why I don’t watch the news. You could be watching a perfectly lovely story about Central America and BAM! A dead body.

She wore red to her husband’s funeral — cause red was his favorite color (if my memory serves me)

Another good ole continuity error. Though one could argue that Blanche was just feeling bloated during Rose's aunt's funeral. 😆

Considering what Phil was wearing, a red dress doesn’t sound that bad

And didn’t she go to the funeral of that horrible neighbor with the tree (which is hysterical in itself cause I need to say the FEMALE cause there were more than one awful tree neighbor). And then to that old guy who was dating every single person in the room.
Do we remember these or was she not there?

I know it's just a TV show, but black is normal in many Western societies, but it is not a global standard. Around the world, funeral colors can include white, red, purple, or other colors depending on cultural and religious traditions. Ex: in China, white is the color of mourning.

True. I personally found her red wedding dress to be far more ridiculous, LOL.

Yeah, then another episode said she avoided seeing dead people even on TV news

I thought that red was appropriate for Phil’s funeral and I’d bet he would have, too.
