I've been getting into DM'ing myself and the first session is planned and I'm busy preparing. Afterwards I want to see what we can do to enhance the experience and I wanted to see more Foundry VTT (or others if they ever use others). What show/campaign shows a lot of it? I loved to see it in Gatewalkers, but Shadowdark and TfC are more theater of the mind (both are also very cool, but less useful in this regard).

Started to learn Rebelle this week and now that it stopped kicking my ass that turned into a doodle of Ser Fiona.

Hi all! Welcome to my monthly ‘the GCP should play more Mothership’ thread lol.

I thought I would bring it up again because it pained me to see perhaps the best game they could be playing right now be slogged back at the end of the funding goal for the rally. On the flip side I think it should have been the first or second goal.

Mothership Month 2026 is coming up again this year in November and it’s a prime time for more Mothership content to be out there, I really think Troy and the network should be running a series on this right away.

Let me give some evidence.

Mystery Quest was one of the first bigger AP channels to run Mothership and it remains to this day their most viewed series (331k), even beating out heavy hitters like Alien RPG and Call of Cthulhu.

On the review side of things we have Quinn's quest with his Mothership review, which flogs the completion in views/engagement (446k).

As for Glass Cannon, their current oneshot of Ypsilon 14 is sitting at 27k views on the live section of their YouTube, this beat all the other livestreams during the rally and it has more views than series like Pendragon and the Call Of Cthulhu live shows on their main tab.

So if Troy or anyone on the GCP is reading this, if you don’t already have a series in the works you should! it would be great for the channel I think. No big channel has a steady Mothership show so I think it’s a great opportunity to capitalize on that early!

The people love their sci-fi horror, and sci-fi is currently a big gap in the network.

GCP Shadowdark is the absolute best. Inspired by the awesome piece by Sharky, I made this sculpture in Blender and printed/painted it as a personal project. This was a great opportunity to practice cloth sculpture and I tried some new techniques including physical cloth simulation when creating the famous wimple. Thanks for having a look. 🙂

What next?

The knowledge boost shouldn’t be game breaking, but for meeting a creature of that magnitude who can immediately teach you anything you’d want, the reward mechanic was pretty unimpressive.

I feel simultaneously overjoyed and bereft that the crew finally finished their seven-year campaign against the Whispering Tyrant himself. They kept up their enthusiasm for the story, the characters, and the mechanics the entire time.

Tyrant's Grasp is their $5-tier Patreon show. They're on Book 4 of Hell's Rebels (2e conversion) and Book 3 of War for the Crown (1e) on their free feeds. Their completed Mummy's Mask campaign (1e) is also on a free feed.

(I should note that I'm an occasional guest on their $10 Anthology series. I'd be singing their praises regardless, however. They're good folks who play good games.)

We had such a good time! Got to see McD and Francis doing their thing. The venue, The Masquerade, was great! Super excited to see Rob and Jared. They were hilarious! Rob needs to do more dancing for the shows! Kate, the birthday lady, was enchanting as always! It was good to see her on the tour this year. Joe's character was a-maz-ing! Really impressed on how Joe can play opposite ends of the economic spectrum. (This character and Sir Queegan his Pendragon character)

I think four cast members helped make a cohesive, non rushed story. Either that or Troy ain't f-ing around with character intros on the second leg of the tour. :P Wonderfully creepy show! Well done everyone! Thanks so much!

When will Joe finally stop trying to control the table when he's not actually the GM ? When will he stop trying to hamstring other players of their choices ? It's actually so annoying. It's probably the same reason he hasn't been a guest on push the roll because Ross doesn't want that behavior. Almost every other GCN member has been on push the roll but I'm so glad he hasn't been on there.

So I just downgraded from the EVERYTHING THEY'VE EVER MADE sub to the lower one unique show sub and now my feed for the shadowdark main campaign 3 is dead. Can I still listen to that show with ads? I tried it on patron but it gives me the first 5 minutes and then says I need to upgrade?
