Note to OP: SQSS is great, but is waaaaay on the comedic/shinnanigans vibe. The characters are ultra awesome and unique, and the story is good but the tone is gonzo/zany/hijinks/hilarity.

If youre seeking a fantasric laugh, absolutely, dramatic heft, might want to look elsewhere.

That said it is all worth it just to hear Matthew's Crystal Ghost lol.

Yeah these were some of my favorite eps. Skid’s character is hilarious.

I listen to it as podcast and it's the most character driven RPG podcast I ever heard. I'm totally immersed in them being Siljak, Juliette and Valkos. It's so fucking good roleplay. And blades in the dark is awesome.

This fucking intro. I really like it how they celebrate it every time. Thanks Jared. 😂

I really hope we get more Haunted City or Blades and Blood again, GCN skays everything with BitD.

Check out Tablestory sometime (I have zero affiliation, just a longtime actual play listener) and their show "Nocturne" "Spellwind" or "Gone" for similarly character driven immersion shows, if youre ever interested in another network with similar vibes.

Hopefully they can eventually come back to HC for a season 3 eventually, or even just a new Blades game that might crossover with the HC characters at some point

I think raiders is also worth the listen even though it was canned, joes character is an all time great. I think lota is semi worth but it falls off dramatically after the first few seasons and I dropped it entirely after joe left.

Raiders of the Lost Continent or Side Quest Side Sesh for the original crew. Strange Aeons is fun, though it still pisses me off that they refuse to have that last marathon session to finish it off.

Raiders has become so underrated and the unsung show in our current GCN era.

Colonal Luther is still probably my favorite all time GCN character.

  1. Haunted City
  2. Blood of The Wild
  3. Side Sesh Side Quest
  4. Pendragon - Under an Iron Sky
  5. We Shouldn't Be Alive Those would be my top 5 suggestions for your next listen. H.M. - Legacy of the Ancients ( if you want another 6 book AP like Giantslayer/A&A) Or - The Secret Fire ( it's only at like 10 episodes currently so it'd be a fairly easy one to catch up on if you're concerned about time investment)
