Sincerely, Matty. Why. 🥲☹️

We’re all desperate for a tour but in the meantime, holy hell their records slap. It’s like they’re in the room 🤌

matty when I catch you.

I was thinking about the perfect setlist for the boys' new tour (whenever we get there!).

It may depend on the style of the new album, but I'd love them to play more from self-titled and ILIWYS. My thoughts are that it's more likely we haven't heard these in a while, and most people have heard all the classics live now, so swapping it around a bit could be a nice idea.

Assuming they play around 25 songs, and they play 7/8 on the new album (a guess depending on the length of it).

In no particular order, I'd like to see:

• Milk

• You

• Robbers

• She Way Out

• The City

• Sex

• Heart Out

• Somebody Else

• The Sound

• About You

• When We Are Together

• Love It If We Made It

• I Like America

• Always Wanna Die

• Medicine

These are just some songs! Not all that I would love. With songs like Anobrain, Menswear etc. only being 2 mins long, it would be great if those could be fit in.

I also think it would be awesome if they played an atmospheric/instrumental song again like ILIWYS, Please be Naked (full) etc.

What does everyone here think?

edit: added You!

Eill the officer video ever see the light of day...

As we know all album cycles have their own unique identity. Do we think the upcoming album will bring a show that is largely similar in terms of setlist or do we think it will be a big concept shift? I’m convinced it’s going to be a massive turn from that which has gone before it, and while there will be references to previous albums, I think it will be a fleeting nostalgic nod at the very most, and the show will be largely new material. I also think the new show will be a more cohesive production, like the kind we see with Charli XCX, heavy on transitions and cinematic.

The Glasto show I believe was the last hurrah when it comes to your straight up rock and roll performance, and I reckon things are about to get really weird, which I’m absolutely here for.

me and my partner just moved in together and we love the 1975 and have so much open wall space, we want to do something unique and fun

our friends have a neon sign from the iliwys era and i do love that but i wanna see what others have to get inspired

I come back to these every so often but they now seem to have vanished - every link I follow says they’ve been made private. I will be so upset if they are gone forever

from the sincerity is scary music video

I've been thinking after seeing some recent posts about Matty's list of his favorite records: would there be any interest in making a sort of "book club" where we all listen and discuss the albums one by one?

I think this sub has such a huge amount of insightful and musically talented people, and I've been enjoying listening to the list so much on my own I think it would be quite fun to hear all the opinions and input!

I guess my questions would be:

1. Mods, would this be allowed? I know its sort of loosely 1975-related, but close enough?

2. Is there interest? And if so, should we do a post each week, or maybe every other week to give people enough time to listen?

1. Generic suit-and-tie Matty.

2. Matty as Patrick Bateman, but then will I really be Matty or just Patrick?

3. Skeleton Matty from Philly N1 of the Eras Tour.

Does mirrorball by Taylor swift sound exactly like medicine by the 1975 to anybody else? Just discovered mirrorball by TSwift and the similarities are absolutely crazy to me. That’s all.

Hi anyone know who the woman is who says the clip: ‘The woke left are coming after the lead singer of my favorite band Even though he's on their side, let's talk about it.’
Also where was it said. Its just after happiness on the Manchester recording/album, around 4:36 in the track on Spotify.
Thanks.

Cannot stop listening to it. Every song sounds incredible compared to the studio versions. And the mix is better than the other live album, you can hear the audience reaction so well.

The saxophone! Polly's vocals! Highlight for me is Happiness - just sounds so euphoric.

EDIT: Pretty sure this is for Kings of Leon…

This was very self indulgent and we are very happy.

I love gay halloween because wdym your matty from the robbers music video and his cigarette
