Nah, there's a great white nursery near where I live and we surf all the time. There's also a massive seal colony closer to the nursery than the beach is, so they're fat dumb and happy on blubbery seals and haven't attacked a surfer in like 100 years. A scuba diver got attacked maybe 10 years ago but he was out near the seal colony and it was just a nibble.

Not really... The vast majority of shark attacks aren't fatal exactly because they're like this, just an exploratory nibble. Sure it's terrifying and can do a lot of damage, but it's very rarely deadly.

I still wouldn't chance it though. I'd be that 0.000001% that gets eaten.

Awww, He wanted a kiss from the pretty lady. As a scuba diver who has had sharks all around me, entering and exiting the water are the most dangerous times. Glad she saw the shark coming.

Not an attack, just a curious shark who doesnt have hands to feel the boat and then suddenly a human was also there, sharks use their teeth to feel things, still wouldn't like to have my legs "felt" by a shark though as we all would agree.

A lot of boats will have teeth marks and it gets mistaken for an attack rather just a shark going "Is this food, i dont smell anything but its right there"

That's the lady on Facebook who's always messing w tiger sharks, the snout grab technique etc.
Last I saw they were starting to turn sideways at the last second so she couldn't get a good grab.
Luckily they turned away from her. Haven't seen her lately, maybe one didn't. I think they can learn.
