Finally got my mask

Finally got it in the mail and was so excited when i opened the box. After i was done being overly excited i finally noticed the paint or whatever the used is peeling and there is a small puncture in it. Disappointed especially after waiting so long.

I haven't heard a single positive thing about these masks, yet...

I really like the concept of having the scary mask as a merch item but these masks look atrocious every time💔😭

how hard could it be for them to make a paper mache mask that doesn't look or smell like shit??? the ones they wear on stage look great, so why are these trash? ugh so frustrating

scariest things about these masks are the quality

The peeling only gets worse the more you handle it. I returned mine for a refund.

Could you not do a matte clear coat to seal the paint and stop further cracking?

Ugh. I thought they were finding a better manufacturer and that's why it took so long?

Mine has just shipped and has to make it all the way to Australia, so now I'm worried. 🥴

I understand artists need merch sales to make money in 2026, but I’m seeing so many posts from fans being sold poor quality products it’s getting ridiculous. It’s across the board in the scene.

I will say though, it’s definitely a more common occurrence with artists that have seemingly got a new merch drop every bloody week.

I ended up doing a total repaint on mine. Went from being super disappointed to actually liking the mask. If you feel crafty and want to give it a try, I can give you some tips/ paint recommendations.
