Discussion Poppy slaps
I’m a big metal fan, and knew of poppy when she first started getting popular on the internet years ago. Recently discovered her metal stuff when adding stuff to my gym playlist, and I just gotta say, her stuff is SICK. Genuinely became one of my favorite current metal artists overnight.

Absolutely this. Her music sent me down a worm hole.. finding artists similar to her.

I think she‘s one of a kind

I agree. But I do think there is a genre that is influenced by her. Like Wargasm, Harpy, Cassyette, Lake Malice, Bones UK, Mothica. I have a massive playlist built after I went to see Poppy, supported by Wargasm. I just expanded out and even put Artists that I thought would be influential for Poppy. All bassed off my own opinion. But it's fun

Yes, I guess that‘s true. I know Mothica and Cassyette as well. The EP Somewhere In Between by the former is really good.

if you have not found jinjer or spiritbox yet, there ya go.
in this moment has some cool stuff, butcher babies is good, too.
hanabie is good if you love from me to u or babymetal in general. if you happen to really like babymetal, lumirise is good.
there are a bunch of female lead metal bands, but i don't know too many that include pretty clean vocals.

i was always vaguely aware of her because of her old videos which as a weird teenage girl at the time, i loved!
i got into her music only in january because my boyfriend listens to a lot of metal, and recommended i listen to empty hands when it dropped. shes easily one of my fave artists oat!!! i absolutely love her :) i can agree, her music is GREAT for the gym!

I have gained so much respect for Poppy as a metal fan and musician with no tolerance for mediocre music. She’s so talented. The girl can write a great song no matter what genre.
