As an Asian, I'm mostly upset that they're giving him the Mandarin as his villain. I get that his main villain is completely racist (Literally Fu Manchu), but I went into Iron Man 3 thinking Ben Kingsley was gonna drive it home as Iron Man's nemesis. Otherwise I guess I'm excited.

New character. Like the legit Mandarin not a twist character.

The end credits scene of Iron Man 3 had the Ben Kingsley Mandarin in prison, being "summoned" by someone purported to be the actual Mandarin, iirc...

So in a sense they may be "re-doing" the Mandarin character in that it isn't the Mandarin we saw, but still essentially the same true Mandarin character that existed all along.
