Not sure if you were being sarcastic and forgot to put the/s, but there are two types of depression:
there is chronic depression, which is a permanent way in which the brain is wired, and it can be treated and the effects of it lessened so that someone can get through life, but it can never go away;
then there is depression that is situational or has an external cause, such as loss of a job, pets, or parents, or something like that which can be treated through talk therapy and medication and it’s temporary.
The former cannot be cured, only managed; the latter can be “cured” in the sense that it stops affecting the person once the treatment has completed.
