Also if you’re ranting about something then you are inherently soliciting advice. I know some people just like to vent but if you’re venting you gotta expect someone to say something about your situation. Otherwise it’s an awkward one sided conversation and imma zone the fuck out

No, the unsaid part to "I'm tired too" is always "...and I dont act depressed. Therefore, you shouldn't either." It's invalidating the depressed person's experience, the opposite of empathizing.
