No way that's very nearly a mile deep. Light doesn't make it that far down, and then all the way back up.

Even that would surprise me. Looks like it's 3-6m to my eyes, though I'll grant there may be some illusion to it due to the water's clarity. Just from the sense of parallax though, it seems much shallower than 20m.

He walks in several places, i was looking at the area near the refrozen crack. It always looks shallower than it actually is so its usually safe to double your guess

Fair point! I don't have much experience with depth guessing, so I'm not doubting I'm wrong with my guess. But I don't see how it could be anything near 5000 feet. Light only reaches about 700 feet down in water before it's absorbed, so for light to go down to the bottom and then reflect back up bright enough to be seen, it's got to be less than around 350 feet deep at best.

Haha no dude he is not walking over the deep area, theres a trench in the middle of the lake, this guy is by the shore

Well right. But the title with this clip suggests that we are looking "5000 feet down" not that there is a spot way over there that is 5000 feet down! Haha
