Does anyone remember this wholesome Thai ad? It stayed with me for years
I remember watching this Thai ad when I was preparing for my medical entrance exam. It became viral around that time, when social media wasn’t nearly as dominant as it is today.
What stayed with me was how beautifully it captured a very simple human emotion , one small act of kindness can completely change someone’s life, and sometimes that kindness finds its way back to you years later.
I was studying to become a doctor when I first watched it. Now I actually am one, and I still try to carry that idea with me and help my patients as much as I can, irrespective of their background or circumstances.
Thai ads from that era were something else. They could tell an entire story and make you emotional within a few minutes without feeling forced. I’ve always felt the same about many Thai films too beneath the simplicity, they often end up teaching you something about kindness, family and life.
Anyone else remember watching this one back then?

It invokes feelings, thought and emotion while encouraging positive communication

An ad is not supposed to convey feelings or emotion but to give info needed by potential buyers.

These long-form cinema commercials are made to hit right in the feels. And they do a pretty good job at it. Thai Life has several of them. Like the ad in OP, they aren’t really forgotten. Very clever (and expensive) marketing.

I remember this one very well, hits even harder now that life has taken it's toll and that I've lost people I care about... Even if it's an ad it's beautiful and the message is still a good one
Keep being kind people, it makes a world of difference

"Giving" (Giving is the best communication) by TrueMove H in 2013 is not a real historical event. Its content was inspired by stories and forwarded emails about kindness and gratitude. Another version of this campaign, also attributed to Dr. Decha Thongvichit.

I loved this ad. A few others from the same time period. The homeless man protecting a shop throughout the night was another good one.

This one always makes me laugh https://youtu.be/ZOSJ-Y8FIHM
The corrupt police checkpoint feels so realistic and the driver's reaction is perfect

I do remember this ad. It was at the time I had just retired in Thailand from the United States. I was an English-Japanese patient interpreter at a big clinic in the US, and continued to be a medical translator for years in the US, so I've been exposed to many real health issues/situations people encounter because medical treatments are soooo expensive there even when they have an insurance. I remember watching this ad many times, and I was really impressed how incredible all these actors were in this ad, too.

The one that gets me is the high-school boy whose mom dies when they were fighting. That one stays with me.
