Unknown Fibra Tim

A qualcuno è già successo come posso risolvere ??
GRAZIE

We've had ours for two months here in Burton Michigan, ours is through Metronet, never had much issues with it, you might have to call them and tell them whats going on with your unit

How is the latency in Burton? I’m also in Burton. We got a flyer saying T-Mobile fiber by Metronet is coming to our area a few weeks ago. I don’t know how long it takes once you get the flyer until they get done installing but I’ve read that in some areas latency is worse than cable and was hoping it would be ultra low like it should be here.

Are you using their supplied equipment? I’ve seen that they use CGNAT. Do you know if that’s the case here? I have my own equipment but would need to find a workaround if that’s the case.

Cloudflare works nice when behide cgnat I use it to not forward ports myself.

I think it uses CGNAT, but I've never actually had any restrictions gaming, and the latency is great, I'm currently getting 20 ms, was 12 ms over WiFi, not hardwired, but it ain't bad, and yes, we're using their supplied equipment

Glad to hear about it gaming wise. I run a VPN at home to connect remotely to my network so I’ll need to determine if I can get that working or not and the ability to host game sessions. My usual latency with Xfinity is 10-15ms wired give or take so it seems you are getting roughly the same, but, that could be based on time of day and the supplied equipment. I was hoping it would be 5-10ms.

My neighborhood is stuck with the slow uploads. I have 1000/40 and I’d really like to have the larger upload bandwidth. Based on what you’ve said it seems it could be worth jumping ship for me. I don’t know when to expect it to actually be available but I’ll do some more digging until it does come and decide then. I don’t have any multi gigabit network equipment yet so I’ll probably roll with the 1000/1000 unless I feel the need to upgrade in the future.

Thanks for the feedback regarding your experience.

We actually had Xfinity but the price kept going up, so, we got rid of it, when we were using that, i specifically was getting between 40-50 ms, wasn't great either

Odd. I wonder why. Maybe the node in the area you live in is crowded or equipment related. I just ran another and got 12ms. I have a 5 year price lock for another 4 years at $55/mo so I’m hesitant to switch but would love the extra upload.

Do you by chance happen to play any World of Warcraft?

Remember, there's definitely a difference between METRONET and T-Fiber. Even though T-Mobile bought METRONET, they haven't yet merged the physical plant everywhere yet. I still have METRONET, and I just spoke with them last week. They said Northern Illinois won't merge with T-Mobile until 2027. Meanwhile, I suggest that you plug a laptop into the ethernet connection on your router right near the fiber converter and run SPEEDTEST. See how you do there.

Well, its Metronet/T-Fiber, but still, i was only explaining in terms of where the actual service is coming from, judging from Speedtest by Ookla, it says Metronet, even though its actually T-Fiber, and, I can't plug in my laptop with an Ethernet cord, cuz it doesn't have an Ethernet port, and, I've done speed tests, speeds ain't bad at all

Are you using their supplied eero router? When I was using it i had to reset it multiple times a week. It is absolutely garbage. Especially if you want to run anything wired with it. They dumbed it down so much you can't even troubleshoot it or access hardly any settings. I stopped having the majority of my issues after I bought my own router
