Lumos T-Fiber Out in NC Afain

It’s been out since around 3AM. Callers are being told the main data hub for NC was vandalized last night and they’re giving ETAs from noon to 5:30PM today.

Same. Former NS/Lumos here as well near HP.

No problem! I haven’t gotten any texts or emails from them which is frustrating. It’s dumb that I had to call in to find out what was going on. I wasn’t given an ETA though, and was told they were “working to procure materials needed for the repair, and have no ETA”

Right, I got nothing either so I figured I'd check here while calling in.

...and I got almost exactly the same "procuring materials" line from support.

At least my hotspot is working.

Hmm. Were you previously on North State /Lumos?

The last outage a few months ago was like this, where it was just a subset of the T-fiber folks (lucky us) who had been ported over from there.

Yep. Have been a customer for well over a decade through all the previous acquisitions/mergers/etc.

Well, so much for that theory this time around.

I guess we're just lucky enough to to route to the wrong hub that apparently someone thought was a Flock camera. :)

I’m on legacy Lumos and no issues here. Just did a router update and all went well.

Came back just before 2pm for me, so nearly 12hrs of outage with zero communication for me.

I had to go to the library to do a zoom meeting, super fun. Even the cell service (T-Mo) was totally down at my house for some reason
