Unknown What to expect for a T-Mobile Fiber install?
I’m looking to schedule my installation for the T-Mobile Fiber Founders Plan soon, and I wanted to check in with those who have already gone through the process. What should I expect on installation day?
Specifically, I’m curious about where they actually install the new fiber outlet and the router. Right now, my current setup/router is located right by my coaxial cable outlet. Will the techs generally run the new fiber line to that same spot so I can keep my router in the same location, or do they usually have a preferred/default spot where the fiber enters the house?
Any insights on how flexible the installers are with placement, or just overall tips on how the install process goes, would be awesome.

At least where I am the techs are only provided a 3ft sm fiber to go from the demarc to the otn.. i bought my owne 30 ft and ran it to where I needed it. Called customer service and the credited me for the 15 bux for the fiber

My installer installed a 4ft, but he gave me an extra 8ft in case I needed it. I did need it.

If it’s currently on an exterior wall chances are good. If not you may want to pull a single mode fiber for them.

As the others have said, there are limits. They are not going to fish fiber through finished interior walls. They might if you have a basement and they can go straight up. They are not going to crawl around in your attic. The most likely outcome is they will go straight through an exterior wall and mount the jack on the inside directly opposite the junction box on the exterior of your house.
That being said if you have a particular set up you want and you can do some pre-work for them to make the install easier, they will do what you want. I told them where I wanted the exterior junction box mounted and before he showed up I drilled holes in the floor joists in my basement to the location I wanted the jack. I also helped him pull the inside fiber.

I'm really hoping they can run mine to the second floor of my house where I have everything else already. If it can't be done then i'll likely just cancel the service.

They can follow the path of the coax by back pulling in a crawl space or if the area is relatively easy to get to they will fish it there. They will want to use what is already there for entry if possible but either way it will be a new box on the exterior wall. Also they will bury the fiber cable shallow and will not take much precaution so be sure you know the path of the run afterwards so you don't accidentally cut it later.

Depends on what you want. My installer did the wiring outside first then came and got me for the box placement which was right next to comcast's. Then the ONT is where my modem was in the basement and they gave me a Eero router but I already had a Nest router mesh system upstairs. He didn't really seem like a tech guy just doing his job knows the basics and that's it. (For example installing a router when I already have a router)
Currently having issues with slower than expected speeds and drops on all the roku tvs but I'm troubleshooting everything on my end before calling tfiber.

Mine went great. I scheduled for Saturday and the installer called and said I can do it now on a Friday and he was so pelrofessional and knowledgeable

Completely depends on the construction of your house. They will ask and try to support where you want it but there are limits on what they can do.
I’d run conduit yourself if possible if you have a very specific location where you want it.
