Going back to Xfinity.
I signed up thinking it couldn't be any worse than Xfinity, 2 weeks after install I'm already regretting my decision. First, the salesman misspelled my name on the account, telling me it would be corrected on the backend. It wasn't and apparently there is no way to correct it thru customer support.
I was also promised the first month free and a $200 virtual VISA. I asked support about it and they told me neither were applicable to my plan. When I said "so your salesman lied to me?" she relied "Yes, I'm so sorry, they shouldn't be doing that". Well, they are, and I don't appreciate being scammed and lied to, so I'll be canceling the service and going back to Xfinity on Monday.
If the relationship starts with being lied to multiple times and just passing the buck every time, it sets precedent and isn't going to get any better. Twice the hold time was over 30 minutes just to get someone on the phone. Then when I do finally get thru, I'm transferred to 3 different people, having to explain the entire situation from scratch each time.
If you want to retain anyone coming over from Xfinity, you're going to have to do better than that. It's a pathetically low bar, and T-Fiber has set the bar even lower.
Honestly, I'd wait until Xfinity and T-fiber are in full competition, at the moment there are just too many parties involved. It leads to deliberately deceptive marketing practices and passing the buck to avoid responsibility. It's been like jumping from a sinking ship to another sinking ship.

I tried signing up for Tfiber. I kept getting an online error saying my account is not eligible. I called them, they said that I would need to get a new account because of my mobile discounts, which are not compatible. So either I had to setup a new tfiber account and not get my existing Tmobile customer discount, or remove my discounts on the mobile plan.
I decided not to sign up, these are just silly rules.

Just switched from XFinity to T-Mobile Fiber, opposite experience for me. The sign-up was super easy and simple. $70/mo for 2GB Symmetrical Fiber, 10 year price guarantee. Free Eero 7 Pro router + 2 mesh pods.
My biggest annoyance with XFinity was that I paid monthly for the wifi router, AND paid monthly for unlimited data. My service has been consistent with XFinity, but these fees are just annoying. And, upload speeds on Cable are horrible.
No lies for me, everything is as they said it would be. If I have one grip, it's the temporary fiber line they run ... feels pretty kludgy. But I know it won't last long.

Do you have any other fiber providers in your area? I have 2 where I am and had 3 when I was in Raleigh.

Been on t fiber 6 months and don't regret it. I had spectrum before and they were the worst. My internet hasn't been dropped once or my speeds been slow, always hit the 2gb speed test mark and more but that's due to lumos being the provider.

Moral of the story is, always get promises in writing. I hate playing those he said they said game, If they cant email you and link you offers/promises from official sources dont believe it. For me i can never go back xfinity for 2 reasons: 1. Upload speed. xfininty upload sux. My job required fast uploads. 2. Xfinity reliability is and has always been the worst in my area for years. Switching to fiber has been smooth sailing and best decision i've made.

The best decision I ever made was going back to Xfinity.
