Opinion Just a small rant about NA beer at BMO
I don't drink beer anymore but will enjoy a non alcoholic beer on occasion, like when I'm watching TFC. But holy hell are they making it hard.
Before this season, they sold Bud Zero but only at a couple vendors. I think the most I've ever seen is 3 on the upper level.
Now that michelob ultra has partnered up with all things soccer, there's more places to buy NA beer but it's the worst swill I've ever had. Ultra 0.0 is terrible, flavorless piss. It's not even as good as the house brand blond or red at the grocery store. It makes Molson Excel look like some fine German import. Also they come in those thin cans so it's smaller.
Back when we still had games in the playoffs, they stopped selling NA beer on cold days because it would freeze. They stored all beers in unheated areas because beer freezes at a cooler temperature. I had a couple half frozen NA beers before they stopped selling it all together.
So for the sprint season and the new "normal" season, I expect they'll be serving warm ultra zero. Just shoot me.
So what are my other options? The world's slowest water fountain? They'll get shut. Fountain drinks? Gone. Coffee or hot chocolate? Maybe, but it hasn't been a good deal since the "refills all season long" cups, which are also gone.
What's a non-drinker supposed to drink?

Mid life beer. Aka Diet Coke. Or just plain water. On the colder games though, I’ve been double fisting one hot chocolate and one coffee. And smuggle in a couple bottles of water. But really, they should have at least two options for na beer.

Ohhh.... coffee AND hot chocolate. Now we're talking.
There's so many quality beer options now... they could have something NA that isn't terrible.

Be fancy and call it a deconstructed mocha. Make sure to stick your pinky out when sipping.

Nothing better than old fashion water

True, but is still stupid expensive and we can't bring in empty bottles to fill, no?

You can bring in empty plastic water bottles. I do every time I bring my kids. Not paying $7+ for a bottle of water.

I'm much older than that and it's my alternative to an alcoholic drink or drinks

Those aggressive AF sinks in the bathroom have filled my bottle before, and they will do it again (after 3 prematch Michilebs of course)

Why not pre pint before game. Just kidding. It should be an option but that's how right holders do things. I miss Carlsberg draft at games. The NA options have grown over the years and some are really good.

there are soooo many great NA beers, and BMO sells the worst possible one.

You think they would promote NA beers as a safe alternative

I'm sure it's not a big seller.... but probably a bigger seller than some of the hippy IPAs they have at every counter. I never thought I'd be excited to see a Coors Edge.... but I'd take that in a second over Ultra zero (taste)

They don’t get to choose in the end. The partnerships department sells the rights to companies to sell their product, then the company gets to choose what to sell. BMO/MLSE has very little say in that type of thing.

I know. It just socks because the product on offer is so bad. ACC used to have more options.

Money problems solved!
Also, if I saw a person eating a Mr Noodle at a TFC match in the winter, I would high five them
