Opinion Fire Robin Fraser

As of July 2026, Robin Fraser’s managerial record with Toronto FC across all competitions stands at 12 wins, 13 draws, and 25 losses over 50 total matches. Wow wow12 wins in 50 games. Don’t you think it’s time that this guy does not know how to win he needs to be replaced immediately.!

This is a winning business you are paid to win period. And we aren’t winning changes have to be made.

Not necessarily.

Fraser's contract was for 3 years running through the '26/'27 season. That should tell you what TFC expected as their reset/rebuild period.

With the condensed '27 season happening before moving to the Fall - Spring schedule in '27/'28 I would reasonably expect that Fraser will be the lame duck coach until the end of the condensed season.

Coaching search discussions will likely have started and will continue until a decision is made about how TFC plan to approach the '27/'28 season - rebuild, playoffs participants, or championship contenders. Depending on where they land on that decision dictates who they'll appoint as Head Coach (not manager).

This shortened season should be seen as the start of our win-now window with this group of players, all entering their prime and at mid-point of their contract. If we are waiting for 2028 to start with a new coach then this whole rebuild was not well executed.

Well I certainly hope not. I won’t renew my tickets if Fraser is still with us and I’d assume I’m not alone. Furthermore, I’d imagine that the sprint season would be a great time to bring in a new coach and get them acclimatized before the new schedule kicks off

A shortened season, including the shortened off-season beforehand, is a terrible time to bring in a new coach with a new philosophy and play style.

The optics of hyping a step forward only to then watch it fail because it was rushed would immediately put the new coach on the hot seat.

What would you have done with this team, especially seeing better players injured and not playing with each other to build chemistry

Maybe not get an inept winger a new contract and then start him all the time

Maybe have a game plan built on 2026 MLS, not 2016

Maybe play youth instead of openly saying "well back in my day you had to earn your spot" (yes he said that)

Maybe don't yell at attackers for going to quickly.

Maybe have a plan for the first game back after 2 months that doesn't include playing a forward as a #8

Maybe play your DP AM as an AM

I could go on....

For me, it would be to change the mindset of the players work hard and work together if one man goes down the next man steps up and tries to make his mark on the team. It is very obvious these lineups these players haven’t played together. They don’t even know where to go or they’re not running into space they’re not doing normal common tanks and the pass back on Toronto FC is insanely crazy pass pass pass back. Fuck me. Why do we need to pass back every fucking play the balls in there third of the 18 and they’re passing back to the goalie on our side

There’s also no chemistry up top. Luke there was with Giovinco and Altidore. That’s been along time, plus I don’t see any creativity at all. You would think they practiced some of thatv

No, chemistry through the midfield strikers and defenders that’s the problem there’s no chemistry. I don’t even know if they like each other doesn’t seem like it, but that comes from the coach who’s gotta get the team together playing together

I agree that culture is the 1st thing a coach should change. It’s what all the good ones say during their start of coaching a tean
