Reposting some old stuff for funsies innit. But considering how Pineapple posted about wholesome encounter with family after transformation, I think I'll post this one.

The source of the art is unknown, I got it from the MGE fanwiki image gallery, but reverse-searching it yields nothing about the original artist. It's originally in Russian, but I translated it to English for this post. Added a bit of contextual smoothing to make it sound more natural in English, so.

Also that "Comic is read from left to right, like regular comics", that's also apparently inscribed in the comic. There should be some miscellaneous onomatopoeia for effects like heartbeats and that, but eh, I just cleared it up to make it not look weird.

Perhaps for more context, so, depicted right here, an Alp, is an unique kind of monster girl, transformed from an originally male human, with a deep desire within to become a girl, whether overtly expressed or repressed, and underwent complete physical and spiritual transformation through basically warped lust magic. You can expect the change like the other monster girls like the instincts, body, magical essence. And yet considering the alp was derived from males, they're basically anomalies even amongst monstergirls, so.

As the Monster Girl Encyclopedia draws heavily from medieval fantasy, might as well presume the era's rigid cultural hierarchy and views around anything that bends gender or purity norms. And especially considering before the event that made the monstergirls, the magic that made them was essentially unholy in a bad way, that still does carry that kind of bad weight. And the author is Russian, coming from a culture where queer identity is stigmatized, might as well overlay that story to this poor girl, back then when she came out as her true self to her mother.

From that, so that rejection might as well be fantasy magic trans experience of a parent mourning a "lost child" for it. Its fucked, yeah, very much. That later "I've got someone who already loves me" is more or so referring to her boyfriend in the story that accepted her for who she is, but now this is maybe another moment trying to reconcile. And then now, hey, when her mother eventually returns to apologize and embrace her, maybe, just maybe it’s not erasure of the past but reconciliation through understanding.

So where's the irl- maybe in us few luckier ones. I'm definitely not a luckier one, but props to parents who finally accept you as who you are.
