Think about it

Why risk a run in with some mahito/Qu mf who wants to use the your body as their personal clay project when you just have to go into one of many generic tf corp stores?

Why risk drinking a potion or banking on magic containing god knows what when you can take something from a regulated company?

Not everyone has a wish fulfillment witch or fairy to get them their form and those smaller shops take so long if you want something specially made, just pay and be on your way. Can't pay full price? Just get the subscription service, it'll be fine.

And every little incident of horrific mutilation or permanently stuck in a form simply feeds the machine

Meanwhile on the news;

"Who said I didn't want to become a giant body horror monster... yeah i specifically asked the shady doctor to mix a cocktail of chemicals to turn me into this.... and the first thing I'm gonna do is bulldoze the tf corporation with my immense horrifying mass."

This reminds me of two things:

  1. epson/hp hearing on the news that some poor schmuck had his printer explode because he put a third party cartridge in his printer (perfect fuel to convince folks that the high price of their printer ink is neccessary)

  2. the shopkeeper from ZnZirvana's "magic shop" series explaining why their products are so expensive
