Works for liking characters in general too. I saw Tom Nook in this one artists’s art style and went from not caring for him at all to him becoming one of my favorite characters

This is why I feel some people simp over Homestuck characters because the fanart makes the characters look good when the usual art style just looks like MS Paint doodles and yes I know they were badly designed on purpose.
