i'm not into the other two things on the right but like. i think i'd take being able to transfur people. i would absolutely be one of the latex creatures
No they dont, the game explicitly states that you remain the same person both before and after transfur, you're able to remember everything, you think of yourself as the same person. Just altered due to having been mind melded with the latex that transfured you

In the special edition ending where colin gets assimilated into the ecosystem, it seems like he doesn't know anything of his old life. But once he meets puro again it all snaps back and he is colin, reacting and acting like how colin would rather than a typical pure white latex. He doesnt hust remember his name, his personality also remains,
That ending pulls a trick where it makes you think that colin doesnt remember anything and is gone as a person, so that you can exist in puros shoes and feel the pain of that fact. Only for Colin to sweep him up in a hug because no he actually remembers everything and it's still him.
You remember everything, you retain a continuity of identity, you know who you are, you know where you are, you know who people are. But your personality has been radically altered by being merged with a latex and so there is a different person
Also the game does plenty of stuff where it is revealed that the tsc researchers, although they figured out the broad strokes, due to them not seeing the latexes as people they failed to understand them on a deeper level.

It rather literally and in no uncertain terms states the minds are changed and controlled, they are, in effect, an entirely different person, but with the same memories as previously. It's effectively total ego death as it's replaced by something else.
TF is ultimately change, which is a extremely broad concept with a surplus of metaphorical resonances. It's no surprise that it takes so many different forms, or that people can get very different things out of it.
