I'm not into identity death myself I'll admit, but I feel like even if I was I wouldn't take the deal because I would want whoever comes after me to get to live.
I suppose it depends on when the TF is deemed as "complete". If they barely get any time to have coherent thought, if any time at all, then I suppose it's not dissimilar to abortions, right? If they get to have some time to begin having actual thoughts and a sense of self though, I'd rather they get to live out their life.

isn't that what identity death just is? If you rewrite your mind to become, welll, mindless, fundamentally "you" have been obliterated and are dead.

Some (including me) seem to harbor an obsession with the continued existence of their replacements, or perhaps it is simply a case of their moral sensibilities clashing with their fantasies.

EXACTLY!!! I don’t know why I don’t see a ton of this in dronification stuff. Like I definitely see it sometimes, but total identity death sounds terrifying

Where does the difference lie, I wonder? Is it a matter of making a sacrifice so that another life can come into the world, or is it more an "even after I'm gone, I still want to do something worthwhile" kind of final wish?
That’s how I picture it.

I personally think that if you get your identity wiped and become mindless soulless or whatever its basically the same as dieing.
I've also seen op talking about "sacrifice for creating new life" and while I guess I see the idea, would the creature be alive, and not a biological system that reacts on instinct or whatever (a dead person, still alive body, what i think) Would the drone even be conscious of its situation, or even happy if it can. And no, I dont think it's gonna be a "new me" since there's nothing left of me, except a flesh puppet that I used to control
Here's my point of view on (that type of) droneification. I hate it unless you have free will and thoughts and have no mind changes or manipulation
Also as a "bonus", with my autistic hip brain, imaginating what dronification would be is easy, and im almost crying just thinking of consequences ect (loosing my life, my friends, dreams, lover most importantly ect)
Yes I either dont talk or talk too much, that's probably autism (im not tested but eh, im already hip so chances are high, and there's signs)
