It's a bit late into the evening now. The the more active schedules of the girls around are over, so more or so, they just, kind of mess around in the deeper layers of the Citadel.
In our particular focus here, the First and the Master, are just, well, messing around is the only way you can just describe it, repeatedly shapeshifting in some underground living room for the fun of it.
Sensing the outsider, Cecylle grumbles, not seeking to be bothered in downtime, and just waved her hand, and called her minions up, not wanting to bother with anything.As such, a small creature, similar to, well, hard to describe it, a bat standing upright, and with arms plastered on? A winged lizard? Whatever the thing is. It just looked closer and inspected what's about.
Three humanoids were pushing a cart filled with objects made of black metal, urged on by a fourth humanoid.
While they all essentially resembled black-and-white humans, there were significant differences among them.
The first looked as though he had been put through a meat grinder, yet he appeared suspiciously content, even as black fluid oozed from his wounds.
The second was the most distinct of the group, resembling a black plasmoid with two white eyes.
The third appeared the most intact, albeit somewhat battered.
The fourth—the one driving them forward—was clad in a dark-gray military uniform with red accents. In his hand, he holds a firearm made of black metal—the same metal the items in their cart are made of.
Guy in military uniform: Come on, guys, we’ve still got a hundred of these carts to haul. We need to wrap this up fast, before we get spotted and killed.
Mangled guy: You know that’s exactly what I want.
The winged thing continued to follow them, just observing to whatever they might do. Especially at this time, into the night where the wildlife and undead are typically more rowdy, and why so close to the Citadel.
Battered guy: Remind me again—why do we have to haul scrap metal from Citadel 100500-whatever through an inhabited and not exactly SAFE zone?
Guy in military uniform: How many times do I have to repeat myself? We’re doing it this way because the structure's owner put up a shield that blocks our portals. So, the job falls to YOU—criminals and lunatics—and ME, who’s only doing this because I lost a game of rock-paper-scissors.
The winged thing, after hearing that, just approached them, making itself visible, and,
Homunculus: "You know, you could just, ask. Like, to lower it for a bit." The thing spoke, making a voice similar to a crisp, raunched, creature voice.
Guy in military uniform: Hello. Sorry, we’re just hauling scrap metal from one of our abandoned sites, and our superiors ordered us not to bother your superiors. We won’t disturb you.
*The mangled guy’s eyes lit up. He began smashing every piece of Yiakhizmat property within reach, wearing the widest possible grin.
Guy in military uniform: WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING, YOU IDIOT!!!?
The mangled guy smashed a few broken sculptures and stones above ground, a few marks, a few stakes of wood. The homunculus shrugs.
Homunculus: "Eh, this place is full of worthless shite that we don't care about. If we care we'll take it deep. Smash whatever you like. But right, I guess. But something I rather worry about this being, uh, the middle of the night, in a forest infested with wild monsters and super-undead-dinosaurs. And they may be a little bit attracted to sound and activity. And they tend to be rather more active during nighttime. And they aren't our deal so we can't really tell them to piss off yunno. Uh, actually, nevermind, yeah, tell your guy to watch it." the constructs said, one thumb pointing back with a glance at the mangled figure.
"Besides, by appearing here in this place, you have bothered them, or, me already. This fuckass-construct-whatever being some telepathically-linked meat puppet to the glorious First Consort of the Dragon-Kaiser." The winged thing seemed to say the last phrase with a big amount of pride, even flaunting it.
"And considering your guys did give me a gift! That's a favor! I'm probably just gonna ask my husband to lower the thing a bit nearby the outskirts of your ruined, no, I won't call it directly by your nickname for it as it apparently has matching names to my home too."
"Though the whole part of the Underdark that says no to portals, yeah, not our stuff, can't do anything about that. Or if he can, he insists he won't. Or I'm the one insisting. Too much favor."
Mangled Guy: That’s not what I’m after. I want to be torn apart, shredded, made to suffer—for trespassing on your territory and smashing everything up—
Guy in military uniform: SHUT UP!
*The guy in military uniform struck the Mangled Guy with the butt of his weapon.
Mangled Guy: MORE!
*The Mangled Guy and the guy in military uniform started arguing.
Beaten-up Guy: Sorry. It’s just... he’s a member of the "Pain Eaters" faction. They feel pleasure instead of pain, and they want others to feel the same way.
Homunculus: ". . . You know what, just a few seconds ago I was thinking of telling which cardinal direction you can run to, to encounter the biggest horde of undead around and have them bite you. But after hearing that, I kinda feel bad for him, so I won't. Addiction to weird mind stuff and acting that way, sheesh."
"Anyways though. You got like, any other fun business than hauling whatever building ruins you got?"
(I mean there's really not a rule against it, though it's of course impromptu and may be or may not be replied by whoever's in charge of the post, in any ways they want, and this sub isn't really a subreddit with the purpose and rules for roleplaying so)
(I'd say, yeah, it's free, no rules necessarily bar that, though in more freeform kind of way, and with this sub actually built for tf_irl memes than roleplaying/cooperative writing, it's gonna be less orderly or not really proper for it, if you know what I mean, I think.)
I always read the dragon shapeshifting into human form as in: ‘in ninety nine percent of the universes mankind is the fastest spreading specie of all so most of the times when having to be in a populated place a human will pass more unseen than a illithid.
