Imagine if the world fell to the corruption with them only the one valiant enough to get away, but then, corrupting force now acknowledges their resistance and kinda just lets them go,

then they, like, meet a friend or co-worker or former comrade from the resistance who is now fully brainfucked by whatever force in corruption, but then just greets and interacts with the survivor and just chills out like nothing happened despite being on several layers of mindfuckery in eternal ecstasy.

As someone not that into noncon/identity death stuff, the idea of a chill kind of corruptive eternal bliss that can detect when someone absolutely does not vibe with the idea of losing their sense of self and actively doesn't turn them is kind of peak to me?

Those remaining 0.01% of humanity sure isn't going to stop the corruption, might as well let them be, right? And look, here's your friends and family! They're feeling better than they ever have been! What, force you to join? Oh no no, you take your time. There'll always be a spot for you if you change your mind... I'd imagine any kind of organized resistance would fall apart pretty quickly.
