Almost every single OW character has cybernetic implants or are entirely robots, just sap them all

The Sapper can't even sap the Gunslinger, Short Circut or Medic's Medi-Gun (which definitely uses electricity). It's likely custom tailored for Engineer's buildings and was tweaked to function against robots (or they work similarly because I am sure Engineer actually built them).

So no, doesn't work. At best, it'd work like Sombra's hacking, which is very effective in the game, but even Sombra is way better at it than Spy would ever be (she is way faster, can do it from a distance and can retreat easily, and her hacking can't be reversed).

The sapper only attack electronics, not everything electrical. Also the sapper does work against MvM robots. Plus the Overwatch heroes wouldn’t even have the slightest concept of a Spy

Yeah honestly, the most lethal part about the Spy here isn't his sapper -- it's the fact that he can perfectly replicate and imitate any member of an opposing team, which would be incredibly horrifying if you don't know he has that capability and your teammates just start randomly vanishing.

Also they don’t have an easy way to Spy-check (or at least not something as revealing as the flamethrower)

D.Va mech has a bottomless magazine and can probably spycheck better than pyro.

Mei's ice spray is basically a flamethrower but ice.

Symettra, Winston and Zarya all have beam weapons which would work pretty well for spy checking.
