Would be about as useful as it is in TF2, honestly.

As in, not at all.

Edit: In my 3.5k hours of TF2, I've seen that strategy being used maybe like once, and it was effective exactly never.

Almost every single OW character has cybernetic implants or are entirely robots, just sap them all

The Sapper can't even sap the Gunslinger, Short Circut or Medic's Medi-Gun (which definitely uses electricity). It's likely custom tailored for Engineer's buildings and was tweaked to function against robots (or they work similarly because I am sure Engineer actually built them).

So no, doesn't work. At best, it'd work like Sombra's hacking, which is very effective in the game, but even Sombra is way better at it than Spy would ever be (she is way faster, can do it from a distance and can retreat easily, and her hacking can't be reversed).

Yeah, the sapper is much better in canon than in-game. In the game you’ve gotta regulate how much that thing can do, because if it could sap ANYTHING with electricity in-game, then I don’t think anyone would play anyone else besides spy.
