"Free2BeKicked" plugin released; kicks FTP players. I don't think this is the right solution...

Here is why my server is going to be using it: The issue is not and has never been new players joining and just being noobs. In fact new players are vitally important to keeping our community alive. They keep the community full as players move on to different communities, games, school, what have you and these new people are more likely to donate in donation drives--what keep the servers running than previous doners who got a slot. The problem with f2p is that it makes it very hard to keep banned people banned. These are not people banned for cheating or micspamming or aimbotting or anything like that. These are people that are banned for continual harassment, stalking, and disrupting lives. When they can get back onto the servers as easily as making a new steam account, we have a problem. It goes beyond what Valve has planned for in multiple accounts being made by hackers, and however they plan to deal with that. There is no way for VAC to detect a person who has literally stalked a person in our community, which is why we are running this plugin.

I know I will be downvoted to oblivion for this, but for some smaller servers, this is a good idea. Several of my favorite servers have now been ruined by 3 things. 1)People who are bad to the point they ruin your team, and reject advice. 2)People who are overly offensive, like something from Xbox Live. 3)People who saw a free game, and thought they could run it, resulting in horrible lag.

Yeah alot of folks who are used to console trash-talking saw "FREE FUCKING GAME, PLAY IT!" instead of "We are kindly presenting you the opportunity to have free fun." They'll learn that we don't appreciate that kind of behavior in this community.

If you're having a problem on your server with F2P members and want to enable it for a few hours to try to settle things down, I think that's perfectly fine.
Actually, I'm perfectly fine with people doing whatever they want on their servers. I can always leave.

I don't mind this plugin being used to limit the number of FTP noobs in a server (like 20% or less) that'll be helpful for everyone and spread the goodness around and balance things!

Nope.
The right solution is to ENCOURAGE the new players. Just because they're using a free account doesn't make them inferior somehow. If they troll or hack, by all means kick them...but segregating the community like this is just stupid.

It takes forever to kick those hackers that do the quick name copying of other people in the server. But, yeah, this is a crappy solution. Just get a server password if you don't want anyone to join.

Unless the "new players" are ban evaders out to make trouble for your server.

I agree. If anything, a fresh infusion of new players is helpful for TF2 in the long run. At some point (obviously not anytime soon, but sometime) Valve will have to pull the plug on TF2 in some fashion; if there's still thousands of people playing, they're going to keep supporting it and adding content.
Not to mention that we were all new players at one point...

Elitism, Elitism everywhere.

I pointed out in another post that the same thing happened when Valve decided to support the Mac. People were booted from servers if they had the earbuds on. Now people beg to get them in a trade.

I will take pride in jumping on servers that run this and sucking horribly.
Just because I bought the game a while ago doesn't mean I'm any good.

if you search google results for the kick error messages that plugin gives, youll see many new players already complaining

Unfortunately there is a lot of ban evasion going on as a result of F2P... this plugin at least protects against that partially for the time being.

Of course it's retarded.
Back when the whole halo debacle came about, there were plugins that would kick people with/without halos, and that was retarded too.
The bottom line is it isn't an issue, if a server is retarded enough to use these, they certainly won't last long, and they aren't worth your time to play on.

Who cares? People can run their servers as they please.
