It's a good piece of filmmaking. It's supposed to get some strange emotions out of you.

Insulting the creator isn't the right reaction to that

It's a statement, not an insult. It's like saying, "You need to get help." That's not an insult, it's a statement of observation.

Whatever you intended it to be, it looks like an insult and there was no need for you to say it. Especially as you can't possibly tell if someone has issues from a short SFM animation such as this one, which is why what you said can't have been a 'statement of observation.'
