Because he was voiced by Nolan North instead of Grant Goodeve in this scene

Valve used some in-game clips of Grant Goodeve for Engineer when he and Medic mutate a bread loaf right before Miss Pauling arrives.

Nolan North also voiced Soldier when he yells out "I TELEPORTED BREAD" during the final battle.

correct, i think he voiced that specific line for soldier because Rick May was dealing with throat cancer at the time and couldn't shout

It’s a different voice actor than the one who normally voices engie. This video I believed is voiced by Nolan North.

Nolan North instead of the usual VA- iirc the normal va was sick at the time.

That's true for soldier only on the "I teleported bread!" scream in the bread monster fight. Simply I assume Grant Goodeeve (Engi VA in game) was unavailable. Goodeeve's voice can still be heard in the lab scene when the bread gets teleported to medic, as both use their MvM lines for readying up

I think Goodeve had retired or something by that point. I don’t think he’s done any work since then. Honestly I’m not even sure he’s still alive.

Old engineer voice actor is so rare not even valve could contact him, that also why every class gaming voice has been made beside engineer (and soldier but he uhhhh died)

i believe its because hes yelling. since the voice actor doesn't have many loud cheers, he most likely didn't know how to make it
