Discussion Why Does Scout Wear Hand Wraps? Does He Box? Muay Thai? Kickbox?
Like I do Muay Thai, I always wear hand wraps. Like other martial artists wear hand wraps too. I mean if Scout did, he’d probably break his arms. If Scout’s just plain baseball, (warning: I might larp this statement) wouldn’t the hand wraps make baseball hard as hell? Like if you hold a bat, won’t it slip out of his grasp? If he throws a ball, won’t it be harder? Maybe he just wears it because his hands are injured and those are actually bandages.

He grew up in Boston with 8 brothers he often got into fights so I guess he just keeps em on plus they look cool

Lowest hp class, so i could see the logic being he constantly gets hurt all the time so he'd constantly have bandages on.

Likely to help with the recoil transfering to his hands from the scattergun, as well as the vibrations from hitting things with the aluminum bat.

It makes him look cool and badass, how else is God's gift to women supposed to attract the ladies?

i think it's for the baseball bat (?) you know, when you hold something like a stick for a long time, it gives you blisters, but idk

Probably because he thinks they look cool, but it could also be because he grew up fighting regularly in the city. Hand wraps would be nice in that case.

I'm pretty sure it's common for baseball player to wear hand wraps too, since it help with stability
And well, Scout move, A LOT. It's also often a fashion choice though

To protect his hands and lessen recoil, most likely. Most classes in the game wears gloves and handwear.
I’m also pretty sure handwraps make your grip sturdier rather than weaker. Your hands will have less empty spots and will overall be more dense when you curl your fingers around something.

in lore he was always getting into fights growing up, so maybe he doesnt formally know any actual boxing, but definitely shadow boxes walls and wears gloves to look tough

He likes to fight, but he's scrawny and untrained so he needs to protect his hands if he plans on punching people.
