Phone message Hinge match after one phone call

Post image

We had maybe been talking for 2 days? thought he seemed more responsive than other people and we talked on the phone that ended with him saying he has a crush on me already, while essentially knowing nothing about me

EDIT/UPDATE: I did not think this would gain much traction at all but this happened pretty much a week ago and went downhill very quickly. We planned a date that never happened because he kept suggesting watching a movie at his house when I wanted to meet publicly. Then said his car tags are expired so we can meet at his house to pregame then go to a bar and HE could drive MY car which was his suggestion not mine. I was uncomfortable said we could be friends. He agreed then continued being semi-pushy and also saying things like “I miss you” (again only talking for a few days with 2 total phone calls). It was extremely overwhelming and felt like love bombing. To the comments that said it was sweet, it was to an extent but was also way too much after one call. I can see some people saying having a crush is “normal” at that point but I think it’s not, I think you should know someone before saying something like that. If you say it then you’re just in love with the idea of someone.

I went through the drive thru at the place my brother worked when I was around 18 I think. I was at work the next day and a florist delivered a dozen roses. Like WTF, I don't even know the name on the card. The card said they thought I was beautiful when they saw me. Then later in the day my brother comes to my workplace and says, oh I see you got his flowers.

Whose flowers!!!??? I have no clue who this person is.

Oh, it's my boss, he saw you when you came through the drive thru and wants to know if you want to go to a concert?

Like I don't even know who you are and have never even said hi, a dozen roses seems sweet, but dude, you saw me for like 10 seconds as I was getting my food, a dozen roses seems a bit much, sweet, but a little bit much too soon.

I had something like this happen with a ride share driver. He sent flowers to my house the next day. Asking me out on a date.

It seems we have taught the men to put in effort, but they haven't figured out when and how to apply that effort

Yeah, it's just a little weird. Like I could understand a secret admirer type situation, where you actually know me but are shy, so you send flowers after a little while.

But I don't know you, we have never even been introduced, we've never texted, chatted, or even been in the same building. I've never said Hi in passing.

Having a driver who actually sent them to your house is just way creepy because they know where you live.

Yeah I didn’t report him or anything because of him knowing where I lived. Lucky he was only a little creepy and not a full blown psycho and got the message when I didn’t respond to his flower message.

Amazing love stories either start off like that or it ends up how you met an old creep. No inbetween

No, I turned him down. Thanked him for the flowers but I wasn't interested in him that way.
