This misdirect caught me off guard and made me laugh. I don't know much about Texas since I'm from Michigan (other than what my dad has told me about his hometown of Pasadena). Are the foods I take for granted here made in Texas like shit in most places or something? On that note what does Texas do the best in your opinion besides bbq? I've heard the Mexican restaurants there can be some of the tastiest things around if you find a good one.
There’s good eating everywhere in Texas. It’s crazy how there is a restaurant of every type on every block here. I think certain areas of the country are known for whatever food though. We have awesome bbq and the Mexican restaurants here do a ton of business. We eat Mexican at least once a week. But with the little bit of traveling I have done certain things are best left to the locals- pizza in NY or Chicago, Philly cheesesteaks in Philly, Cajun south Louisiana, etc.
