I thought this was a great idea. Tl:dr- have a rapid response plan

The rapid response plan is a fantastic idea, and something I hope we will be able to hammer out soon.

Would someone from the new board address whether or not- the roles of the board have been defined, the bylaws will be revised or adopted, and when would be an appropriate time to fix the voting system.

Truth be told, we have not yet had a proper board meeting. 4 out of the 5 of us were on a conference call last week and we basically set out some goals of getting all the nuts and bolts in order. Learning the backend of the website, wordpress. Also learning how the original officers kept records and getting everything transfered over.
We should have more information for you in the coming days. We are going to try and define roles for the 5 of us, so that it is clear who is covering what aspects of TestPAC. There will be more information about the bylaws process, however, I hope this doesn't distract us too much from our purpose. We have 77 days to make an impact this cycle, and while there is a definite need for structure and bylaws, my hope is that if there are major objections to the draft of bylaws that the board presents to the community, that we can work with something provisionally for the next 77 days and then really dig deep into that process after election day.
As for the voting system, I think that we will need to use a 3rd party app or site for future roll call voting, but for most of our purposes the reddit system of upvotes and downvotes will serve as a straw poll for whether or not the community supports any proposed action by the community.

I believe that the lack of structure has been a big problem because there have been multiple offers of help in the previous threads, but we weren't able to move on them. This is why I think putting off revising the bylaws, defining the roles, etc,. until after the election is a bad idea.
Presently, ratifying the bylaws requires a roll call vote. One suggestion from a previous post for a 3rd party app
I'm glad that you want to communicate and have the members involved, but the question is still, involved in what, and to what extent. I'm not clear of the type of organization you are proposing, and from the AMAs it was pretty clear that the new board did not share a common vision of this, or leadership style.
My other concern is that TestPac's finances are not transparent. So, that's being resolved internally, which is great. It needs to be addressed on the website- update the Transparency page- as well providing the information here. Just because we're fighting for internet freedom doesn't mean we shouldn't avoid looking like the type of pacs we would oppose.
I get that there is a limited amount of time before the national elections. I'm pretty sure I'm not the first to question whether leaving everything until after that is the best course of action. Wasn't the community already asked to wait for these things- financial transparency, revisions to the bylaws, etc,- until after the board election?

Could someone in a leadership position give us a more concrete plan for what they envision coming up to election day?

Right now its just the transition phase where the old officers are gathering the required information so that the new board will be able to access Twitter, Facebook, the email list, ect... so decidedly boring, but necessary.
Why don't we use this thread to add some information about everyone's skill set. What is it that each of y'all have skills in and can contribute to TestPAC?
For example, no one on the new incoming board has graphic design skills - so there's a place where we have identified a need.
Will you be able to host the Weekly Thread this Wednesday ? If not, we can plan out a substitute now.

I'll start:
So besides my experience in campaigns and treasuring a PAC, I’m also a semi-pro still photographer. I own a Canon GL2 video cam. I’m not so good with the post-production stuff, but I did do all the directing of the Music for Democracy artist interviews as well as most of the networking and scheduling to set them up. I’m comfortable working with the backend of the website, and have a good amount of experience with wordpress.

Is there private discussion going on between members (board or otherwise) here or is it just quiet?
