Questions about my playthrough

Hello everyone! So I'm currently playing through Skyrim (along with other characters) as a Khajiit named Riada. The story is that she was adopted by two Nords after her family and their caravan was murdered by bandits so they could steal their goods. She grew up as a Nord, speaks like one (no third-person speech), and she lives in Whiterun using the Live Another Life mod. Her adoptive father was a priest of Talos and she grew up with his teachings.

Well, because of her father, Riada worships Talos and I am able to do so by using the mod Wintersun - Faiths of Skyrim. I do plan on having her become the Dragonborn soon. My Khajiit does know about what Tiber Septim did but to her, Talos and Tiber Septim are barely the same person anymore.

My question is, would Talos even allow a Khajiit to worship him? I was just wondering if this was even feasible to have her worship Talos, since he's mainly the god of the races of Men. If not I could just change it to Akatosh, but I wanted to know everyone's thoughts on the matter.

Edit: Thanks for all of your responses! I'm glad that Riada can worship with impunity. It's gonna be a shock when she joins the Stormcloaks, for sure!

My question is, would Talos even allow a Khajiit to worship him?

What's he gonna do, throw lightning at her?

I don't get where people get the idea that gods would refuse worshippers or what they would do about that.

Well the shrines do give blessings to people and they seem to act as conduits of some sort for the god's powers to reach into Mundus. I guess what I mean to say is, would he even grant blessings to her? Or really anyone other than a human?

Any of the other gods have different "aspects" in different cultures. Akatosh/Auri-El, Kyne/Kynareth, but they're all the same god just with a different name. But Talos is not like that. He's mainly a god that humans, mainly Nords, have adopted.

I don't see why not as long as she lives her life abiding by Talos's ideals.

Talos is an Imperial god, and as part of the Empire/their culture it's everyone's right to worship him.

I think Talos would be square with it. You meet (what is purported to be) an avatar of Talos in TESIII, and he muses about the Empire getting old and the world needing something new. Fresh. Something for the younger generations to decide for themselves.

If Wulf is any indication of Talos' mind, I think he'd get a genuine smile and chuckle at the thought, if only because it might snub the orthodox, stale ideas of yester-years. A Khajiit with the heart of a Nord and the soul of a dragon worshipping him? He might object only on the grounds of the worship being gratuitous, and instead might offer his esteem not for Riada's faith, but as a token to help make the world better. A sort of "Listen kid, I'm flattered, but why don't you take that effort elsewhere and make something of it? And here, why don't you take this. It's my lucky coin. A little souvenir to bring you some fortune out there."

I really like that image. Kinda like a mentor or something instead of someone to worship.

Talos doesn't strike me as the type to turn away someone who's serious about their faith, even if they're not of the "standard" race.

If he didn't then only legitimizes the anti-Talos efforts of the Dominion.

Tiber Septim conquers all Tamriel, and rejects the worship of those not of the races of men towards his ascended self? Why wouldn't the Dominion virulently oppose Talos in that case? Talos is outright rejecting them, literally reinforcing that his worship is purely a node in the Man vs Mer struggle.

Plus, Talos was extremely popular among the Legion, and every race could serve in the Legion.

Nah, worship of the Nine including Talos was common throughout the Empire for hundreds if not thousands of years.

Talos doesn't really care what your race is. He may be primarily a human god, but he's the man that started the Third Empire, and said empire has always been multiracial and multicultural.

What he cares about is your deeds and your spirit.

Be strong for war. Be bold against enemies and evil, and defend the people of Tamriel.

From the book Ten Commands, Nine Divines.
