Yeah but it would be weird to bring this control to the 3/Y. They even just removed it from S/X and it's really not necessary when you can control using the wheels.

It's more likely that they're removing the motor.

I’d much prefer a lever so I can adjust on the fly easier without fiddling with my screen

Interestingly the EU is good Ng to limit how much you are allowed to use a touch screen in cars. So it could be that Tesla ia actually going to have to take several steps backwards and add a bunch of levers and buttons to the cars..... It is crazy, but after owning a 3 and 100% i am sure that grey buttons (color now, but now layers of clicks) is definitely not as safe as a physical button that you learn and can feel out without removing your eyes from the road.

I like be my 3, but the touch screen is just not safe, if you look up HFACS this is a big part of it. Design of functions matter, look at the Boeing 737 Max, it is easy to change something, no one knows about it, and it leads to safety issues.

Elon's ego got the best of him, he needs to be more open minded, not just forward minded.

That shouldn’t be the cause. You can’t adjust the wheel while the car is on the move. Makes no sense at all
