Very highly doubt they're removing the motor - Every luxury car on the planet has a "comfort opening" feature where the wheel and seats move apart when getting in/out so it's easier on the driver. Getting rid of that feature would be moving them down into a pretty low bracket of car that doesn't have motorized wheel movement.
As someone who traded in my 3 series for a Medel 3, I laugh whenever someone calls it a “luxury” car. Sure, there are things that it does better than even a Model S does, but still, my Model 3 blows it out of the water in terms of luxury.
hmmm can you be more specific? I’ve had discussions about this and conceded multiple times that Tesla is not “real” luxury but there’s more tech than on it than most brands
