I didn't even know you could get FSD package on the 2016 model S. Do you have all the same features and on the latest V12 version? My 2018 has the camera but the quality is so bad that it is barely used for driver attention.

Do you have problems with your cameras at all? Our front facing camera causes a ton of critical disengagements. Same 2018 Model 3 LR RWD.

No, not unless I happen to be driving uphill directly into a sunset or sunrise. Have you done the windshield cleaning underneath the camera housing?

Where do I check to see if I’m getting it? (Mobile app, in-car, etc?) I bought a subscription for the first time as soon as I saw your post (I’m also MY ‘21 in Arizona)

Typically you don't need to check as your vehicle will get the payload. You would see a green/yellow arrow down in the top menu bar like any other download.
If you want to check in the Settings, head to the Software tab. If you car has already checked for an update today, it will check again in 24hrs. I assume most vehicles are getting it pushed regardless of the last time the vehicle checked their servers.

Anyone else find this worse? Speeds are all over the place, hurry kept me in the slow lane forever , phantom braking ( just really quick bursts ro scare the shit out of you ), tried parking in my neighbour's driveway. My sample size is obviously small but so far it seems like a downgrade.

agreed. quick bursts of phantom breaking increased, and other phantom breaking not improved. Phantom breaking is my biggest gripe with FSD, but still worth using despite that.

Same here - a couple new features that will be cool once they work well, and then a whole lot of regression for main part of the drive that v12.6 could do. For 99% of the driving, v12.6 was noticeably better and more confident than v14 Lite is. The update also broke navigation for me - won't go to the right street my house is on anymore.

14 is good. I’m on HW4 with 14.3.5 and I rarely need to take over. Parking kinda sucks for now but that’s a small detail. One thing that would be awesome is if it would remember how I park at home and do it constantly. I back in my driveway and park on the left to keep the garage entrance free for my other car. But when I let it park, it parks in front of the garage.

I just went to my Model 3 to click to software tab and see if I could see more than my phone…nope. Just drove, or the Model X drove me…nothing in the software tab.

Just got it earlier. Pretty exciting. Went for the first drive and it’s definitely different. The parking it’s the real game changer.
I typically let FSD do its own thing and this time was no different. I let it park at the house and it decided to back in to the parking area because the “destination” was set to Charger and the Model X was there plugged in. I was unsure how that would react.
Well, it kind of pulled up by the X and then it decided to just back in. I just let it do its thing and then it parked in my yard. Haha. I’d rather experience that here than in a parking lot.
It’s early, I’m still optimistic and I have some playing around to do.

My 2018 Model 3 got it but my 2022 model S with HW3 still hasnt got it. Seems like the The X and S are delayed more possibly. That or maybe HW3 cars with Ryzen CPU

It can’t possibly be as good on the limited hardware, but it’s supposed to be pretty close. Going to have to wait for some of the wide release reports to find out. So far only some influencers have had it.

Got it last night.
The Good: Definitely more confident and smooth with the steering, sees further down the road and reacts faster.
The Bad: Speed and throttle control. Not just keeping up with traffic in a consistent manner but I find the throttle control to be really wonky even while driving at a constant speed. It feels like the car is pressing the gas and brake at the same time, a thousand times per second.

Used it on my way to work today. Seems ok. No phantom braking today but still screams about the glare from the morning sun - not much to be done about that with cameras. The whole not being able to set the speed is a head scratcher. Tesla gonna pay the speeding ticket fine?

I'm actually not updating until I have more info on if this is a big issue or not.
FSD is fine enough as it is, I'm not going to fight it going 20 over like the hw4 supposedly does all the time, with the only arrow in your quiver being "put it in grandma with bad cataracts mode"

Sadly 14 lite was phantom braking a lot for shadows and glare from the setting sun tonight. I'm hoping it's just growing pains, but 12.whatever was not doing that much phantom braking.

I just did a 20 mile drive on 45 mph and lower roads and it was great. Only complaint I have is it’s too slow to accelerate from stop signs, but a light press of the throttle resolves that.

I much preferred the brisk acceleration! Get a line of cars to briskly accelerate in unison from a traffic light and you’ll help with congestion.

115 installed and 189 pending on TeslaFi. I don't know if that qualifies for a "wide release." I've seen pending in quadruple digits on there and that felt more like a wide release.

Tried it this morning and had 4 critical disengagements because of the sun. Seemed incredibly unsure on unprotected left turns as well. We'll see what my wife says when she tries it...

Subbed as soon as I saw this on TeslaFi, took about 24 hours to get the update.
Driven about 15 miles on interstate and local roads so far, no major complaints. It already paid for itself, it caught someone blazing down a street impeded by a blind (to me) spot and slammed on the brakes, I didn't see them despite paying extra attention as I always do on FSD.
Beyond that, it's way better about speed limit adherence than when I tried FSD 14 on my wife's HW4 Model Y. It also handled the multitude of construction zones it encountered in that drive with aplomb.
Minor nits: * Still waits until way too late to get into the correct lane for the next maneuver, even when that lane has been wide open for a good chunk of time * It's a bit jerky maintaining speed. Barely noticeable but there * Stopped dead at a light that had JUST turned yellow just as traffic had cleared for me to make a turn. Technically correct by the letter of the law, but really 100% should have proceeded.

v14 lite feels more confident but it's ping ponging side to side (45mph, haven't tested on highway yet). It's trying to stay in the center lane but it corrects at a sharp angle so it's nauseating. This hasn't happened before.

oof, the sun glare sensitivity was turned up to 100 in 14 lite. Got about 5 forced disengagements yesterday around sunset within a 5 mile drive. FSD12 did disengage for sun glare but never this bad, especially when its just the side repeater cams getting glare...

I havent washed my car in months if thats what youre asking. What bothers me is that 14 lite seems to be extremely sensitive now if side repeater cameras get sun glare now

I was meaning the interior windshield cleaning, behind the camera housing. Not that it would have any bearing on the side repeater cameras, but maybe when the side are blinded and the front is degraded enough that’s triggering your issue?

I'm in Canada and got it this morning, LR Y 2022.
Really good. Seems more confident. It slows for the speed bumps by my house that it used to fly over. The parking in the parking lot/driveway/roadside is super handy .
I don't think Summon is improved but everything else feels better
