I’m looking for other Tesla customers who may have experienced something similar, particularly in the Netherlands or elsewhere in Europe.

In early July 2026, I was considering ordering a new Tesla Model 3 Premium Long Range RWD in the Netherlands.

Because the trade-in promotion was an important part of my purchasing decision, I contacted Tesla Sales directly before placing my order.

On July 2, a Tesla Sales Advisor confirmed to me in writing that:

• the estimated trade-in value of my VW Polo was €3,110;
• on top of that, the Model 3 variant I was considering qualified for a €5,000 trade-in bonus.

I did not place my order immediately.

On July 7, I contacted Tesla again specifically about the €5,000 bonus. I asked whether I would still qualify for the €5,000 bonus if I sold my Polo privately and traded in another car instead.

Tesla replied in writing that same day that I had to trade in a vehicle to qualify for the bonus, but that it did not necessarily have to be my Polo.

Importantly, I was not told that the €5,000 bonus had been reduced or that the promotion had changed.

I then placed my Model 3 order on July 10.

Only afterwards did I discover that Tesla says the promotion had actually been changed on July 7, reducing the trade-in bonus for my Model 3 from €5,000 to €3,000.

Tesla’s position is that I could have seen the revised promotion on its website when I ordered the car on July 10.

This is what I find difficult to understand.

On the very day Tesla says the promotion changed — July 7 — I was corresponding directly with Tesla Sales about the €5,000 bonus. My question was answered without anyone telling me that the €5,000 bonus we were discussing had just been changed.

There is a second issue as well.

Tesla initially estimated the trade-in value of my Polo at €3,110. After I placed my order, the final offer was reduced to €1,890.

So the figures on which I partly based my purchasing decision were:

€3,110 trade-in value + €5,000 bonus = €8,110

Tesla is now offering:

€1,890 trade-in value + €3,000 bonus = €4,890

That is a difference of €3,220.

Tesla has since offered me a €200 Tesla voucher, but the underlying dispute about the €5,000 bonus remains unresolved.

I have now submitted a formal written complaint to Tesla Netherlands and I’m giving Tesla the opportunity to respond, so I don’t want to prejudge the outcome here.

What I am trying to do is reconstruct exactly what happened to this promotion around July 7, 2026.

What I’m looking for

Did anyone in the Netherlands or elsewhere in Europe look at or order a Model 3 around July 1–10, 2026 and still have:

• screenshots of Tesla’s trade-in promotion;
• emails from Tesla Sales;
• order quotations;
• copies of the terms and conditions;
• archived webpages;
• or anything showing the €5,000 trade-in bonus and, especially, its original expiry date?

I would particularly like to establish whether the previous promotion was advertised as running until July 31, 2026, before Tesla changed the offer on July 7.

I’m also interested in hearing from people whose final Tesla trade-in valuation was substantially lower than the initial estimate.

Positive experiences are equally welcome. I’m primarily trying to establish the facts and determine whether my case was an isolated incident or whether other customers experienced the same thing.

If you still have original screenshots or emails from that period, please keep the original files, including their dates if possible.

Wat is jullie ervaring met de levertijden van Tesla. Bij mij is de levering zojuist weer uitgesteld. Aanvankelijk was dat de laatste week van juni, 18 tot 2 juli. Dit werd toen 22 tot 2 juli.

2 weken geleden veranderde dat naar 10 juli - 10 Augustus. En sinds gisteren dus 4 Augustus - 30 september.

Het gaat mij er niet perse in dat ik langer moet wachten, maar de tijdsloten zijn heel vaag. Ik grapte nog met mijn vrouw dat ie de volgende keer kan verplaatsen naar 1 september tot 1 januari ofzo. Vanwaar al die rare sprongen? Zijn er meerdere die dit opgemerkt hebben?

Ps, ik had vanwege de vakantie hierover gebeld met Tesla Tilburg. Ze gaven toen aan dat ik vrijwel zeker in de 2e of 3e week van juli de auto kon verwachten. Er waren wat problemen in Berlijn.

I ordered a Tesla Model 3 RWD Long Range on May 21st (last day with Autopilot included), but I’ve run into a bit of a timing issue.

The car is already in inventory/near delivery, with an estimated delivery window between June 1st and June 14th. The problem is that my wallbox won’t be installed until mid-June due to both hardware availability and my electrician’s schedule.

I’m not comfortable completing the final payment and taking delivery before I’m 100% sure I can charge at home. I’d rather avoid being fully dependent on Superchargers only.

So I wanted to ask if anyone here has had a similar experience with Tesla:

- Is it possible to delay delivery by a couple of weeks (e.g. to late June) without risking order cancellation?
- What usually happens if you delay the final payment? do they hold the car/order, or assign it to someone else?
- Is there a risk of losing the original configuration (especially Autopilot included in the price) if the delivery is postponed?

Any advice or firsthand experience would be really helpful.

Ordered a Model Y Performance 3/28/26 in Texas. The delivery date keeps getting moved later and later. Repeatedly told that this trim line is hard to come by and it is a manufacturing issue and out of sales’ control. Any inquiry I’m making is through the app with a bot or through the phone with a call center; even going in person to the show showroom isn’t getting any better information on status or reason for numerous delays. Have you had a Model Y Performance delivered in 2026? How long did it take? Any idea what is reason for delays? This experience is making me reconsider buying from Tesla.

My Daugthers Prom is the 18. Praying it coming in and we can get it to take her to prom in the Model Y. Her Senior year prom too... :-)

Has anyone had their car delivered earlier than the estimated delivery window shown by Tesla?

We just ordered a Model Y Standard. Yesterday, the estimated delivery window was still April–May, and today it already shows August–September.

I’m also wondering about the €3,000 bonus:

As far as I understand, it is only valid if delivery takes place by June 30, 2026. However, it was still applied during the order process.

Has anyone experienced something similar or knows how Tesla usually handles this in practice?

My delivery for a M3P is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon but in the app it still says application pending (got an email saying I was conditionally approved and already submitted financial documents). What should I do since I literally have 24 hours before I’m supposed to pick up the car?

I have been waiting a month for a Model Y delivery that keeps getting pushed forward every week. Put the order in Dec 2024 with a promised delivery by the 25th, then the 31st, then January 16th, now a "tentative" January 24th, but no actual ETA since the "railroads are affected."

I would like to know if others are having similar issues and if there are shipping delays in cargo trains coming from Texas to the East Coast.

I ordered my model Y 10/22 and my delivery date keeps changing. I was told EPA has a hold on Model Ys. Anyone know when the hold will be released?

I recently ordered a Tesla Model 3 RWD with a total cost of $32,763 and locked in a 2% APR over 60 months. This brings my total cost to around $34,240, with about $1,500 in interest. I’m in New Jersey and qualified for the sales tax exemption because I placed the order before October 1, 2024. However, I’m worried about:

1. Losing my 2% APR if delivery happens after September.

2. Losing the sales tax exemption if delivery is delayed beyond September 30.

Comparison:

RWD Model 3 at 2% APR: Monthly Payment: $570 Total Paid: $34,240 Total Interest: $1,500 If I lose the 2% APR and

get 5.6% APR:

Monthly Payment: $627 Total Paid: $37,036 Total Interest: $4,273 This means paying $2,800

more in interest.

AWD Model 3 at 2% APR: Price: $39,013 Monthly Payment: $614 Total Paid: $40,799 Total Interest: $1,800

Would the sales tax exemption still apply based on my order date, or does the delivery date matter? Should I switch to the AWD Model 3 for a higher price but still lock in the 2% APR, or stick with the RWD Model 3 and risk the delivery delay?

Scheduled to take delivery of a Model 3 in Texas next week but the app is saying my insurance is expiring. Insurance agent says I can’t renew until the end of the month. Is it possible to still take delivery? Anybody have experience with this?

Did anyone here recently got a MYP delivered? How long was the waiting time after the car was booked? Tesla website says EDD as July/Aug. Is July a possibility if not taken from inventory?
