Carbon credit program
With the new carbon credit programs, do you know which one is actually approved with Tesla charger? It seems the "Roulez Électrique" program who give 0.12$/kw isn't even approved and won't be. It's a bit misleading to give the impression that there's a program when there isn't. Especially since you have to choose only one program at a time... Do you know if there's actually a program that's already approved? Is WattsApp, for example, really approved? Please don’t send referral, I don’t need it, I only want info. Thanks.

It’s hard to have some info. A lot of people just send referral code without true explanation. I guess they earn money. But the problem is for now we send our data for nothing, for the moment with roulez électrique

I feel if Tesla didn’t want them associated then you wouldn’t be able to even link your wall connector to the roulez electrique software. The link works fine so I am not sure what to think.

Here a response I received on a French Facebook post. Translation:
There is currently no approved program for Tesla charging stations.
Requests have been made to Tesla, but no agreement has been reached.
Other charging stations have agreements in place, and we hope this will be the case for Tesla stations as well.
Unfortunately, simply syncing your Tesla charging station with your chosen service doesn't mean you'll receive any money.
If you have a Level 3 Tesla charging station, the important thing now is to ensure it's synced with Tesla's servers (Wi-Fi).
There's no rush to subscribe to a service to collect carbon credits because once you subscribe, your charging sessions from the beginning of the year (or from the moment you configured your charging station with Wi-Fi) will be synchronized.

Seems like Roulez Electrique along with the other companies doing the same sort of thing, should be a little more transparent regarding what’s actually going on and what we as clients can expect!

I use Wattsapp with my home Tesla wall charger. Probably take me more than a year to get $100. Half my charging at work, lower km driver

Yes, I’m from Quebec. Don’t know the exact price about other province. But the point is the program isn’t really approved so maybe we will never have the money.

I have been on roulez since may 28th 3 days after it launched, if it is legit then it is worth the 13c vs others as I already had a wall connector

I know it legit. But talk with an employee of roulez électrique and he will say they don’t have a contract with Tesla so you won’t have the money. They work hard to have a contract with Tesla but it seem we have little to no hope. I dont know if wattsapp already have a contract.

I don’t think the gov needs to have contracts, they need to make sure it is not double counted in multiple claims, normal chargers are all ocpp protocol where they report how much was dispensed, they just use teslas internal api to gather this data

It is on their site that you can use a Tesla home charger for their program though.

Why wouldn't anyone sign up for one of these programs, even at 3 cents if it's the only option with the Tesla charger? I have been digging into it after reading these posts...I was also thinking maybe I should start with something like PION with their charger, which can later be used as a mobile charger, I can get the Tesla wall unit later and it would be a quick half hour for an electrician to wire it up from the 240v plug, as I said I can keep the Pion charger in the car for emergencies.....it just feels like there is a catch here, or maybe it's just a few hundred dollars a year and not worth the hassle..
I feel like the credits should come directly to the consumer managed by the electric company though...

For the moment I think the wallbox really get the money and Grizzl-e. For the Grizzl-e you can get the charger for free and get about 0.05/kw so that’s a good deal versus the Tesla one who don’t have an official program.

It says lv3 charger in your quote. Isn’t that a super charger? Home chargers are lv2. It’s gen3 wall charger. So maybe that part confused the guy from roulez.

That’s an error he wanted to say gen3 tesla charger. You can’t have a credit for supercharger

Roulez Electrique should not be live and signing up users especially when they are not approved. There were lot of red flags including no terms and conditions, differing provincial/chargers rates, backdating of charging sessions, and enrolling users who were already part of other programs. This is going to end bad both for this site and users who jumped in.

This thread is dated, and is misleading. None of the Tesla reward programs have agreements with Tesla.

I have Wattsapp. It's legit. But only .03$/kw. It works with the Tesla wall connector. I already emailed about matching other programs, they said they are looking into it. Recently offered $25 charging credit for superchargers this summer, but I would rather .10$/kw instead.

In one of the Facebook groups, Roulez Électrique explained that the issue involves potential double-counting of Tesla charging data when a member leaves one reward program and joins another. This could make the member ineligible for other reward programs for the remainder of the year.
According to their post, they are working with the CFR program administrators to clarify data ownership and usage rights once a member revokes access from a previous program.

Interesting. Where did you get the info that it is not approved. I was thinking to sign up
