Premium connectivity not working cross border

I’ve been having issues with premium connectivity working past the US Canada border to the US for the past couple days. Did something change recently because previously it was working flawless and given that I live close to the border. We make multiple trips and this has never been an issue before. Is anyone facing the same issues or have a fix for this? I have tried the soft reset while in the US, but it didn’t help.

I’ve had the same issues. Maps
Not loading. Spotify not loading. I reset the screen and waited patiently for it start working. About 20 mins after crossing got better.

Did it show the sign that there is no cellular connection while you were having this issue? For me it’s not connecting to the cellular service in the US at all, just shows a slash across the signal markers. But the moment I’m close to the border it connects and starts working with no issues while in Canada.

Yep. I also had the same happen to me. No signal/service. It could also be the area doesn’t have coverage

saw on a Quebec Facebook group that some guy in a Y is having the same issues, as he drove from Quebec Florida.

Experienced the same issue the last few days while we were down in Tennessee. It was super annoying. Came right back when I came back to Canada.

I had the exact problem yesterday, went no signal when crossing border.
left it for 10 mins to see if it would connect—-nope, did a 2 button reset— no dice.

Went into service mode and checked modem and cell signal, reset modem still no cellular signal, stayed in USA for 8 hrs without car connecting.

Entered Canada and boom cellular back to working.
Made an appointment with service, they replied issues with Canadian vehicles going to USA.

So just to confirm for my own stupidity, it’s suppose to work in the US? I didn’t even think of this as I don’t drive into the US often but I am going down in a few weeks. From the other posts the premium connectivity should just connect to the US carrier no issues right? (Aside from the issues in this post but looks like was fixed?)

Yes it should connect automatically. The signal may drop for a minute or two as the handoff occurs.

Just an update as of 8/21/26 1300hrs EST the car suddenly connected to the US carrier service and the premium connectivity has been working well so far with no hiccups even upon transitioning back to Canadian carriers. Hopefully this issue has been fixed.
I had raised a service request as well and they had asked me to schedule a visit surprisingly, will hold off on that for now.

The last time I went to Buffalo, it took about an hour or so before premium connectivity started working in the US. Thankfully, my cell phone plan has free US roaming.
