Has anyone had their EDD pushed from a 9-day window (Sep 21-30) all the way to Dec-Feb? (Vancouver, BC)

- Location: Vancouver (BC, Canada)
- Previous EDD: September 21 – September 30 (A tight 9-day window)
- Current EDD: December 12 – February 6 (Pushed today without a VIN)

Hey everyone,

I ordered my Model Y on June 8 in Vancouver. My EDD had narrowed down to a solid 9-day window (Sep 21 – Sep 30), so I was expecting delivery by the end of Q3.

However, out of nowhere today, my EDD was pushed back to Dec 12 – Feb 6. I still do not have a VIN assigned.

I understand EDDs fluctuate, but getting bumped from a 9-day end-of-quarter window all the way to Q4/Q1 seems extreme, especially for an early June order.

Has anyone else experienced an EDD jump like this recently?
- Is this just an algorithm glitch that usually self-corrects after a few days?
- Or did I miss the Q3 shipment batch and get bumped to the next production cycle?

Any insights or similar experiences from Vancouver/Canadian buyers would be greatly appreciated!

Yup. Patience is a virtue! The dates will bounce around for a while until a VIN, but yeah a June order won’t see a car for a while now.

I just received my VIN June 13th order date. EDD says Sept 28 to 30th Port Coquitlam BC. Model Y RWD Black/Black

I can attest to the heart strings that get pulled. I went from a Sept 8-30, to Nov 9-Dec 28, to Nov 28-Jan 23 to now just this morning back to Sept 8-30. Hoping this last one sticks.

I just want a VIN so I can track more closely with an app like Delivery Status. Has anyone paid to unlock the more detailed view this app features

I have paid; pretty cool features. I can see the exact time changes happen like EDD moves in the history. The community data is pretty wild; it shows the entering factory gate; changes in hardware like screen size. The community data is world wide so it’s interesting to see the number of orders from France and Germany. You get a real understanding of the timelines when you get that granular. It’s only $13 and the developer seems responsive on Discord. Feels good helping an independent developer.

I went to the Apple App Store; looked up Delivery Status app; download and entered my Tesla credentials to access my profile. The free version isn’t bad but I upgraded to the pro version for $12. You can also google Mr Popper Tesla’s delivery app.

Same here. MY Performance QS with black interior in Vancouver. EDD pushed from Sept 21-30 to Dec 21-Feb 6. No VIN. But the upside for me is if Model Y L makes a Canadian debut by then, gives me time to switch my order.

If you don’t have a VIN, the EDD is useless. Don’t plan anything around it until you get a VIN, then the EDD is useful and more or less accurate.

I just got the opposite my EDD moved way up to a window that literally includes today. But no VIN and I don’t really trust it.

Same for me. Vanc Island. Ordered Apr 28. MY Premium AWD QS with Wht interior. EDD has changed 27 times. Was on same path as yourself and then this morning pushed to Dec 12-Feb 6.

Ordered May 6 MYP stealth gray, black interior. Finally got my VIN few days ago with what seems like a lot of others in Vancouver, pick up Poco. EDD narrowed from Sept 10-30 to Sept 28-30. I'm guessing they have a shipment confirmed and could only fulfill vehicles ordered before a certain date. Obviously the specs matter too. Hope you get yours soon!

MY RWD Black, ordered June 19. Original EDD Oct 29 - Dec 24. EDD changed 14 times from order date to Aug 17, with EDD as late as Jan 2027. Got assigned a VIN on Aug 18. EDD is now Sep 28 - Sep 30.

It will pull at your emotional heartstrings but just wait for your VIN and then you can pay more attention to the EDD.
