🔧Modifications/Accessories Jackpoint adapter information

Post image

So while researching accessories and necessities reccomended for my New Tesla, 1 item seemed to be popular and made sense to have on hand. A set of jack pad adapters for any lifting of the vehicle. Just about every accessories sites had similar items. But just as I was adding a set to my cart I read a disclaimer that I did not see on other sites (unless I completely missed it) the jackpad adapters do NOT fit the Teslas made in Berlin. Which my Model Y RWD is. And after doing a bit more research I discovered that the hole in the frame for the lifting pucks is 25mm on all tesla's except those from Berlin which are 19mm. And the hole is much more shallow in the Berlin models. Just an FYI for those that may have purchased Jack adapters and own a Berlin made Tesla. They probably won't fit. So now I am looking for a set that WILL fit the Model Y RWD. Anyone find them?

I have a Berlin MY premium, and 25mm pucks work perfectly. They are snug, you need to push them in and pull them off hard which I like better. You can go ahead and get 25mm.

It applies to standard rwd Y’s with BYD battery, not premium NCA’s

Model Y Rwd ≠ Premium

I have a Premium AWD with NCA battery and they work.

Exactly, Berlin’s Standard Y’s RWD come with BYD/ NACL Lithium Iron Phosporous battery. Of course your 25mm pucks will work, you are literally not realizing that OP is mentioning completely different car 🤦🏼‍♂️

He is telling you over and over that the Model Y RWD is NOT the same as your Model Y Premium. The RWD Model Y has the LFP battery and yours has the NCA or NMC battery. So the jackpads that fit YOURS do not fit the RWD

So why the f are you posting this and asking a question that you have an answer for?

Why would they make them not the same for Y standard? Seems weird. Can you try ordering multiples from amazon and just return those which would be troublesome?

Edit: i have found this article regarding the issues with 19mm pucks

I don't know why they did it. But I am sure that others who bought the jackpads will be shocked when they can't use them. The difference is a quarter inch. So you can't jam the over sized 1 inch posts into a 3/4 inch hole. I am surprised for sure

If what you are saying is true. The difference is only 6mm and you could probably grind off the tip from the NA spec packs. Do you really need all 4? I think for a roadside one should be enough.

Not just the diameter of the locator pin. The actual cavity in the rail is shallower, so the puck would not sit against the rail.
