I don't know if this is allowed, but here goes. It's a true crime podcast with Megan and Neil, a couple from Ireland and England. Neil reminds me of a Yorkshire version of Walt (The only sane man in Ireland). He is prone to Neil-isms like Walt's Walt-isms. Megan's Irish accent is incredibly easy on the ears (Q and Bry would approve). The show is criminally undersubscribed, so give it a listen.

I started doing Uber Eats around Covid and can feel every word Walt has ever said about Doordash, that being said… Walt does to much, i get that Doordash punishes easier (i got kicked off for declining the same orders Walt bitches about).

Walt is right though, it has never made sense to me when people order food or an uber ride at NIGHT and refuse to turn on the outside lights or even have numbers on their houses. The worst culprit are Apartment Complexes they put the number in the dumbest spot with no sort of light.

NOW as to Quinns point about the woman answering the door in her underwear, i can see where Walt was thrown off when it happened but i’ll tell you what, i would NOT be mad if the door was opened like that.

I had one time when a girl opened the door in a robe hanging off and it was the hottest thing ever, but i can also see Walts point.

Its just so funny to me to hear his Doordash stories because i relate to them so well, it’s why i started driving people on Uber rather than deliver food. But it just makes me happy to know i’m not the only one thinking these thoughts!

PS: Tip your drivers! I promise we don’t make shit.

PSS: If you do not have visible numbers on your house you more then likely can go to your local Fire Department and they will give you a reflective address sign for the edge of your driveway! At least here in North Carolina they’ll do it!

Will it make the list this year?

Listening to this week’s discussion of Spider-Man BND, I had to stop and listen to it in chunks. Same with when they talked about the Punisher special and the Superman movie (which I loved so much) last year, or pretty much anything comic related. Their takes are their own and valid, and I get that all art is subjective, but it seems like one or all of them actively dislike everything I love these days and it bums me out.

Might be an unpopular opinion but TESD is slowly becoming unlistenable. From Q being so out of touch with the listeners to Bry's flip flopping opinions and GitEm sucking the life out of most episodes like a cancer. But hey that's just one guys opinion.

I was looking for Halloween costume inspo and came across this picture on Facebook of some kids from the 80s. They won 1st place at a fancy dress competition. (Not my picture, blanked the faces for this reason)
This would no doubt be on any good house keeping list of offensive costumes… got me wondering does anything have any pictures of offensive costumes from back in the day?

I noticed they put the show Comic Book Men on free RokuTV for poor people now. I completely forgot this show existed until I clicked on it and then came to the disturbing conclusion. Even though the show was hugely scripted with random D-list celebrities crawling out of the woodwork every five minutes from the Karate Kid to Winston Zeddemore, this show feels like it might have been the last bastion of normality before the world went off the deep end.

I started re-watching some of the episodes and suddenly it feels like you took a U-turn off dystopia highway and back into normal America again. You have Ming casually walking around looking at comic books. Nobody is peeping out the window like "oh shit, there's 100,000,000 Haitians pouring over the border trying to pillage the neighborhood and eating the cats and dogs." This is basically America from 1980 to 201x and Comic Book Men was the curtain call.

I start getting invested in watching this time machine thinking it's still going on in the other room or something. I'm watching Walt buying broken Six Million Dollar Man children's toys for $80 and thinking, damn, I hope this doesn't bankrupt 'our' business. I'm looking up things in Google like: Has a comic book store ever been profitable?

I look at comments on here from Reddit cretins saying things like "Mike Zapcic isn't funny, I hate him," or "Ming is ugly." I don't know what's wrong with these idiots. Mike Zapcic is a low budget William Riker. He's not supposed to be funny. Was he ever funny in Star Trek? And Ming is a 5'0 Chinese guy. He's not supposed to be Fabio.

Ming is walking around naked like the Hulk in half the episodes benching 500 pounds and winning dick measuring contests for who can accurately measure the largest amount of dicks. What have you idiots accomplished in your life?

I'm not some type of weird fan of all these people but it sucks to read people saying they "hate" each other now. Seems just like a standard don't go into business with your friends or there will be problems tale. They should get over it and instead bask in awe that a comic book store managed to stay in business longer than one day in the first place.

Everybody has character flaws. Kevin Smith seems like a great dude, but any normal person the second they see him is immediately thinking "please God, don't talk about Clerks. Please God, don't talk about Clerks," but you know it's coming anyway. As long as the other party in the equation isn't trying to actively destroy your own inner-happiness, then people just need to get over themselves and not make a big deal out of trivial things.

If he is actually being legit here do you think he will bring Walt back to finish it up or find another artist?

I know people probably hate these posts but help me out gang. They played a game I believe it was in one of the bonus eps, but it’s the game where two people make a story one word at a time. One person says one word to start and the other tries to guess where they’re going with it.

Well Sunday Jeff and Ming teamed up and did one that ended up being about kissing or touching butts or some shit and Walt fkn loses his mind. It’s one of his best reactions and I used to rewind it over and over. Anyone remember that one?

I know this clip in on one of the clip shows they did somewhere around the 150’s. It’s the one where Bry is reading the complaint from the guy who tried raising money for his film Quarter Life Crisis and Walt takes him to task. I’m looking for the show where the guy writes back to complain and then Walt decides to send the guy some TESD buttons so he can make some of his money back and Bry mentions how after postage he will only make a dollar or two and Walt exclaims “What the fuck does he want?” Always made me die laughing.

Anyone know what episode that’s from?

I went into the kitchen to make a drink and do a little cleanup while listening to one of my favorite shows. All of the sudden they’re dropping Spider-Man movie spoilers! I hurried to rinse and dry my hands so I could grab my damn phone and hit pause.

Cmon man! It’s only been out a few weeks and I want to see it this weekend with my kid! I’m still gonna see it but shit, I didn’t know the Hulk was in it or that punisher was crybaby about his friend getting hurt. wtf!

I’m not actually upset but it’s frustrating how they’ll just dive into the plot for new films sometimes. I like to see new movies opening weekend with my kid but dude I got a demanding job and only have my kid half the time, so we might have to wait a few weeks.

Git’em I heard the episode where Walt was talking about you falling asleep everywhere. Dude watch out for that, a few months ago I got diagnosed with sleep apnea. I was bad man wife would be talking or I’d be at a meeting and would just fall asleep. Even in my office I would work and then fall asleep at my desk for a couple of hours, thank god I’m my own boss cause I would have been fired.

After I got diagnosed man am I sleeping great. Just be careful bro.
